Chapter 5687
Bam!
Stefan couldn’t stop himself from standing. He broke the table in front of him with a single kick, then slowly stepped forward.
“I don’t know where you came from, kid…” he said while squinting at Harvey. “But do you even have that kind of money?”
Harvey waved his Black Card around with a smile.
“I can afford way more than that. Why, are you angry about it?”
Harvey loathed Stefan the moment he talked about getting closer to Aria.
“Of course not. I won’t compete against you, either.”
Stefan glared coldly at Harvey. His usually gentle expression was completely gone.
“I’d like to see how you’re planning to take the bead out of here, though…
“You’ll arouse jealousy walking around with that, won’t you? You of all people should know about that, right?
“I believe the bead will only give you bad luck. You might just get buried six feet under without knowing why! There’s a lot of soil in the outskirts, after all!”
Stefan’s words were filled with nothing but threats.
The auctioneer showed a horrible expression after hearing those words. He wanted to say something, but he simply couldn’t.
Instantly, the air around the place tensed up. Many wanted to mediate the situation, but they wouldn’t dare after seeing the murderous intent on Stefan’s face.
“Are you threatening me?”
Harvey smiled.
“Are you saying that you’ll do whatever it takes to get the bead?
“That you might just make me lose everything in the process?
“After all, I robbed you of your opportunity and humiliated you… It’d be embarrassing for a consul like you to not take me down!”
“That’s right,” Stefan replied icily.
“I can crush you with my thumb if I really want to!
“If you want to live-if you want to survive in the outskirts, then I’ll give you a chance.
“Hand over the bead respectfully, then beg me to have it. That way, I might just consider letting you live. If you don’t, the bead will follow you to your grave!”
Stefan didn’t care about anything anymore.
“You don’t have to believe me…but you should know that in the outskirts, I can deal with people like you like I do with ants,” Stefan growled.
“I really don’t believe you, though…” Harvey said.
“You don’t? Well, you don’t have to. It’s your right, after all!”
Stefan glared at the auctioneer; he didn’t want to waste any more time.
“What are you waiting for?!” he barked.
“From now on, the bead belongs to Harvey York! 1.3 billion dollars! Sold!”
The auctioneer knocked his gavel three times.
Now, the bead was officially Harvey’s.
Everyone thought Harvey would run with his tail between his legs after being threatened…
However, he decided to show his Black Card instead.
