Under everyone’s puzzled gazes, Lorel rushed out with a pale face.
She quickly lifted Roger up. Seeing his swollen face and blood coming out of the corner of his mouth, sadness filled her eyes.
“We’re all classmates here, Harvey! How dare you do this to him?!”
Lorel held Roger with a furious glare. She was like a wolf. Even if Harvey was strong… She was ready to go against Harvey at any cost.
“I already went easy on him,” Harvey said.
Lorel scoffed, then pointed at Roger’s face.
“You call this going easy?! This has to be intentional! You’re heinous! You’d do everything just to be famous in university!”
Lorel’s eyes were filled with nothing but hate.
Not only was the man she liked completely embarrassed, but the entire university would probably turn into a massive joke after the incident.
‘It’s all because of Harvey! Doesn’t he understand that it’s best for everyone if he just gave up?!’
“I’m heinous?” Harvey smiled. “If I was the one slapped aside and coughing blood on the ground… Would you care?”
Lorel scoffed. “Are you insane? People like you deserve to die! Who would stand up for you?”
Harvey tilted his head.
“I’m the heinous one for beating up Roger, and I deserve it if I get beaten up myself…
“You have pretty good double standards at such a young age, huh? You should just quit university at this point. Find something that fits your standards better.”
“You!” Lorel’s face was completely flushed in anger. “How dare you?!”
“How dare I?”
Harvey chuckled while clapping his hands.
“I know a lot of you people are unhappy about the result…
“That’s why I’ll give you a chance. I don’t care if you people want to challenge me one after another, or just jump me altogether.”
Lorel almost broke a tooth after hearing those words.
She wanted everyone to take down Harvey together…but nobody made a sound.
They weren’t stupid, after all.
It’d be fine if they were only asked to talk back at Harvey, but they were no match against him in a fight. Nobody here could even defend themselves against the slap he gave Roger.
“Not only do you have double standards, you talk pretty big too, huh?”
Harvey shook his head while looking at Lorel.
“I can’t be bothered to argue with you. If you’re still going to act like that… You might just get stepped on all the time.
“As for you…”
Harvey glanced at Roger.
“You have talent, but the things you learn will only hinder your future.
“How about this? I’ll give you a chance to learn under my wing. I guarantee that you’ll become a King of Arms after three years. How does that sound?”
Harvey truly cared for Roger; he didn’t want Roger’s talent to be squashed like this.
Roger’s eyes twitched, and he revealed a twisted expression. Though Harvey meant well, he saw that as utter humiliation.
Not only did Harvey beat him, he also tried recruiting him after that. More importantly, Harvey was speaking in such a calm manner.
