The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 869

Chapter 869

Balfour picked up his coat, bypassed his dad without a trace of emotion, and briskly walked out the door McNeil was used to his son’s cold demeanor. He didn’t get mad or blame him

Ever since Marlinie took their daughter away, Balfour had been avoiding any conversation with his father

Mr. Howard sat alone on the stone bench, squinting at what was happening across the parking lot.

He saw Ellinor take the yogurt bottle that Theo had opened for her, have a big sip, and then hold it up high, ready to feed Theo.

But when Theo was about to drink, she cheekily pulled the bottle away and ran off, as her face beamed with innocence.

McNeil himself didn’t even realize the tenderness in his eyes.

That girl really reminded him of a young Marlinie.

It had been over a decade, and he wondered if Marlinie was doing well out there.

Back at the Blanchet villa. Theo headed straight upstairs to shower and change clothes.

Ellinor didn’t go up with him. She said she was going to stay downstairs and watch TV, but in fact, she went to the kitchen.

After Theo finished work today, he went straight to pick her up from the Howard family’s home. So much had happened since then that it was now dark and Theo hadn’t had dinner yet

She washed her hands. put on an apron, and decided to cook some noodles for Theo herself.

The servants wanted to help, but she shooed them away.

She was just making a bowl of noodles, it wasn’t rocket science. She could handle it herself, having someone help would only mess up her flow

As she was whipping up some eggs after chopping tomatoes, Ellinor heard someone storm into the kitchen.

She paid it no mind and continued to beat the eggs.

“Ellinor, what the hell is this about? Veronica roared while surveying the room.

Ellinor glanced at Veronica while continuing to beat her eggs, “What’s up? You want some of my noodles?”

Veronica rolled her eyes, “Who cares about your noodles? What was the deal with those things you had Devin send me today?”

Ellinor chuckled, “Oh, that. Those were gifts I personally picked out for you”

Veronica responded with annoyance, “Gifts? You’ve got some nerve! I’ve never seen such cheap gifts in my entire life!”

As she said this, she was waving a book around.

Ellinor responded, “Cheap” I gave you some workbooks to help you improve your knowledge. Isn’t that a good thing? Knowledge is the most valuable treasure in the world, not your useless shoes and bags.”

Veronica sneered, “I could accept that you think I need workbooks, but why are they for primary school students? What are you trying to say?”

Ellinor calmly replied, “I didn’t mean anything by it. I was afraid you wouldn’t understand the higher–grade workbooks.”

Veronica felt greatly insulted and angrily retorted, “Ellinor, your IQ is like a primary school student’s! Your whole family’s IQ is like a primary school student’s!”

Ellinor casually laughed and replied, “Ms. Blanchet, if you’re so unhappy, then finish the workbook yourself

and prove to me that you can do all the problems. If you can correctly complete half of them, I’ll buy you ten Hermès bags tomorrow. How does that sound?”
