The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 71

Chapter 71

Ellinor halted, hearing someone calling her name

A sunny–faced big boy huffed and puffed as he ran towards her..

He was a junior from the third grade.

Ellinor asked him puzzled, ‘Moran, what’s up? You need something?”

The shy big boy, scratching his head awkwardly with a sincere smile, said, “Ellinor, congrats on your graduation!”

Ellinor smiled. “Thanks.”

Moran seemed to want to say something, but then he noticed the imposing man standing next to Ellinor, “Uh…Ellinor, who is this?”

Ellinor promptly replied, “Oh, he’s my uncle!”

Theo turned speechless

Upon learning that this was Ellinor’s relative, Moran immediately bowed politely. “Hello, mister!”

Theo didn’t bother to respond, his face cold.

Moran didn’t mind Theo’s coldness. He blushed as he asked Ellinor, “Ellinor, can I talk to you alone for a moment?”

Ellinor nodded, “Uncle, just give me a sec.”

After speaking, she followed Moran to a slightly distant place to chat.

They stood by the window in the corridor In the middle of their conversation, Moran pulled off the second button from his jacket and handed it to Ellinor.

Ellinor took it and looked at it, smiling.

Watching this. Theo smirked.

Collin, always quick to notice, saw Theo’s confusion and explained, “Mr. Blanchet, in Japanese manga, the second button of a shirt is the nearest to the heart, symbolizing one’s feelings. That boy’s gesture means he’s willing to give his heart to Ms. Mendoza.”

Theo squinted. Something with such implications, and Ellinor actually accepted it!

He vaguely remembered Ellinor once saying she liked gentle, obedient boys who would call her older sister. Was this boy the type she was talking about?

Theo scoffed, “Students are dating at such a young age these days?”

Collin replied bluntly, “Mr. Blanchet, college students are adults.”

Theo lit a cigarette, watching the two in the distance. Just beginning to experience love, their faces always flushed….

Ellinor stretched out her hand, patting the boy’s head. Her lips moved but he couldn’t hear what she was saying. She was smiling the whole time though.

She wasn’t even taller than the boy, yet she acted like an older sister, patting his head?

Theo took a deep puff of his cigarette, then blew out the smoke, put out the half–finished cigarette, and tossed it into the bin.

He didn’t say another word until they got in the car.

Ellinor didn’t initiate any conversation either, she was busy with her phone, replying to Chase’s messages.

Just as the car was about to leave Creston University campus, Veronica suddenly appeared, flagging them down.

Veronica hopped in, chirping. “You guys can give me a lift home!”

Theo lifted his eyes, looking at her coldly. “Aren’t you planning on going to college?”

Veronica shrank back, “Bro, I misspoke! I don’t have classes this afternoon…”

Theo didn’t bother with her anymore, signaling to the driver to start the car.

Veronica sat next to Ellinor, her attitude very friendly, “Ellinor, so you also studied at Creston University, how come I never saw you at school before?”

Seeing Veronica’s drastically different attitude, Ellinor smiled slightly. “In my final year of college, I spent most of my time doing internships off–campus.”

“Oh, got it!”
