The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 629

Chapter 629

Just like that, the two started bickering

Byran was at a loss for words as he watched them squabble.

Seemed like the driver was not going to take him to find Ellinor. What a bummer…

Byran wasn’t holding his breath. He looked around and saw no taxi in sight. How was he gonna hail a cab?

As he was fretting, a two–seater red sports car slowly pulled up.

The driver was a woman with medium–length curls who wore a spaghetti strap silk dress with her makeup absolutely spot on.

The woman gave him a smile, “What’s up? Did you get into a car accident?”

Byran was a bit irked and he retorted, “Can’t you see for yourself?”

The woman didn’t take offense and she chuckled, ‘Buddy, hailing a cab might be a bit tough around here. Where are you headed? Need a lift?”

Byran was taken aback. Did he hit the jackpot?

He checked out the woman’s car. An open–topped sports car was definitely faster than a taxi. He might actually be able to find Ellinor with this ride.

Thinking of this, Byran quickly nodded, “Sure! Could you give me a ride, please?”

As he spoke, he walked over to the passenger seat, opened the door, and hopped in.

The woman didn’t seem bothered by Byran’s rudeness. She tossed her hair and asked, “Young man, you haven’t told me where you’re going?”

Byran crossed his arms, “Just catch up to that car in front.”

Ida gave a slight smile, “Alright, hang on tight, buddy“”

She stepped on the gas and the car nearly took offi

Thank god, Byran had his seat belt on, or he would’ve been thrown out by the sudden acceleration. He didn’t expect this woman to drive like a bat out of hell.

But the faster, the better, at least he had a chance to catch up to Ellinor’s car

However, as the red sports car drove away, the burly man stopped arguing with the taxi driver. He dropped his cocky attitude and shut up.

Seeing that the other party suddenly went silent, the taxi driver also felt bored. He took out his phone, ready to call the police, “Just wait, I’m calling the traffic cops to deal with you. You remorseless troublemaker!”

Who would have guessed that the burly man would suddenly change his tune and bow his head in apology. “I’m really sorry, I said some inappropriate things in the heat of the moment. I apologize to you. I’m sorry! Here’s some money for your car repair and for your troubles, I hope you’ll accept it.”

With that, he handed over a cheque that was already filled out.

The taxi driver wondered if he was dreaming when he saw the drastic change in the other party’s attitude.

He took the cheque and his eyes nearly popped out of his head. The money was enough to match his annual income.

“Ah, have you genuinely realized your mistake? the taxi driver asked, puzzled.

The burly man looked sincere, “Yes, I promise it won’t happen again.”

The guy gave him quite a bit of money, so the taxi driver decided to let it slide, “Alright, I’ll let it go this time! Be careful when you drive; don’t be so careless. And one more thing. Huh? Where did he go?”

He was ready to give the other party some advice as a veteran driver with twenty years of experience, but when he looked up, there was no one in sight. The burly man had already driven off.

Looking down at the cheque in his hand, the taxi driver scratched his head, muttering to himself, “What just happened?”
