The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 321

Chapter 321

“Do not talk! I’m driving. Don’t say anything that will upset me now. Just sit tight and I’ll explain everything in a bit, okay?”

Theo stared at the road ahead, firm and serious, and coaxing a child.

Ellinor was a whirlwind of emotions, silently leaning against her seat, her gaze fixed on the rapidly passing scenery outside the window,

her voice gone.

In the middle of Donebridge.

A black business sedan parked by the roadside, its hazard lights flashing.

Theo drove past the car, then pulled over

Even though Ellinor had no intention of getting out of the car, Theo took the initiative to unbuckle her seatbelt.

‘Daydreaming? Get out!”

With a resigned sigh, she had no choice but to follow him out of the car.

As soon as they stepped out, Patricia came up to them, coughing weakly: “Theo, you’re here!”

Theo nodded at her, then turned to Balfour who was standing by their car, asking. “What’s up with the car?”

Balfour slapped the hood, “Might be water in the engine from that puddle we just hit, it just died on us.”

Theo tossed him the car keys, “Take my car, get Patricia home.”

Balfour caught the keys, paused for a second, then laughed, “Thanks, sorry for dragging you into this.”

Then Balfour glanced at Ellinor who was standing silently, a touch of admiration for the girl who seemed to have Theo wrapped around her finger.

In the past, Theo would never have allowed him and Patricia to leave alone.

Upon hearing this, Patricia said anxiously, “Theo, if you give us your car, what about you? We could all go together, you know.”

“No, we were just about to take a stroll by the river” Theo said, patting Ellinor’s head for emphasis.

Ellinor was speechless.

Who said anything about taking a stroll with him? He really likes to make plans on the fly!

Patricia’s eyes darkened, but she quickly brightened up again and said, “It’s windy by the river, Ellinor might catch a cold. I think we should stick together.”

“It’s cool, someone will pick us up soon. And aren’t you feeling under the weather? Stop hanging around here, get in the car and go home with Balfour.” Theo took off his coat and draped it over Ellinor.

Patricia said, “But Theo…”

Theo didn’t spare Patricia another look, instead turning to Ellinor, “Let’s go, I’ve got something to tell you.”

With that, he gently put his arm around Ellinor’s shoulder, leading her away along the edge of the bridge…

Patricia stood rooted to the spot, watching them walk away together, her teeth clenching in frustration.

Balfour’s car trouble was her doing she had sabotaged it while he was getting drinks.

She had thought that as long as she called Theo, he would prioritize her health and let Ellinor fend for herself, then personally escort her home to rest.

But to her surprise, Theo chose to walk on the bridge with Ellinor, leaving her to Balfour.

“Patri, stop staring, let’s go.”

Patricia snapped back to reality, nodded, and got into Theo’s sports car with Balfour.

Sitting in the car, she was still struggling to accept what had happened. So, she sent another message…

“Theo, I’m sorry for dragging you out here. Did I upset Ellinor again? I didn’t mean to, I just felt so awful just now! Could you explain it to her for me, so she won’t be angry with me?”

on the other side. Ellinor’s phone rang twice.

Ellinor glanced at the message notification on the screen, then handed the phone to Theo, “Again, it’s another message from Ms Howard.
