The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 2806

Chapter 2806

The promise of money, no matter how unsavory its origins, holds a certain allure that few can resist. The moment Regina shouted her offer, Domingo’s men began to waver. Fear of death is a powerful motivator, isn’t it?

Domingo’s face drained of color as he watched the betrayal unfold. “What the hell are you doing? We’ve been brothers in arms for years. Are you really going to stab me in the back now? Haven’t I been good to you all? We’ve always shared the spoils. I’m so damn disappointed in you guys!”

His plea was heartfelt. For just a little dirty money, his loyalty was questioned, his men ready to turn on him, stabbing right through his heart.

But people die for greed, just as birds die for food, right? Sure, they had made a pretty penny with Domingo, but at the cost of their conscience.

Who wouldn’t prefer a respectable job in a glossy office tower if they had the choice?

The cash they earned through their rough exploits was dwindling, and even Domingo himself was looking to clean up his act. They all knew the under-the-table money wouldn’t last.

What good was having piles of cash if it was all tainted?

“Think about your families, guys. You’ve got wives, kids. Don’t you want to think about them? Do you really want your children to never see you proudly at a school open house?”

A mix of logic and emotion could be persuasive, especially as Nolan’s fists did the talking, causing more and more of Domingo’s crew to second-guess their allegiances. Some even pretended to be down for the count, stepping aside as if already beaten.

In the ensuing chaos, Domingo was thrust forward, right into Nolan’s path. And Nolan. wasn’t about to show any mercy, especially not after Domingo had let his goons speak so foully to Regina. He remembered every word.

With a solid punch to the jaw, Domingo let out a howl that made Regina cover her ears.

“My teeth-”

Domingo tried to fight back, but Nolan was young and built like a linebacker. No way Domingo was a match for him.

Another brutal kick to the back of Domingo’s knee brought him to the ground, kneeling before Nolan.

That was the final straw for the rest of the crew. With their boss subdued, what was the point of resisting?

Finally, one of the underlings stepped forward cautiously, hands raised in a sign of surrender.

“Mr. Harris, what exactly do you want from us? Let Mr. Skinner go, will ya? He just got some bad intel, that’s why he came after you guys.”

Domingo roared. “Since when did you become such a spineless rat? I’d rather die than snitch!”

But before he could finish his sentence, Nolan landed another punch on his back, leaving Domingo collapsed on the ground with a groan.

“You’ve got good sense, seeing the situation for what it is,” Nolan said. “A smart man would choose the right path.”

Regina ran to Nolan’s side, completely taken aback by how quickly the tables had turned. She looked up at Nolan with eyes full of admiration, shining brightly. She was about to sing his praises, but the situation was too tense for compliments.

“Yeah, yeah, you bet,” one of the men hurried to say. “We’ll spill everything you want to know, Mr. Harris. Just ask, and we’ll tell it all.”

Nolan nodded. “Alright then, ask away.”

Regina, pointing to herself, was in disbelief. “Me?”
