The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 2712

Chapter 2712

The other reporters rubbed their temples in agreement. “Seriously, I just can’t figure Dahlia out. Why wouldn’t she and her team jump on an interview with us? With her own reputation, she could’ve skyrocketed to fame here at home, right? Now, sure, she’s made some waves abroad, but back here, aside from her die-hard fans and the industry folks, who even knows this dancer?”

“I don’t get it, either. Maybe, artists are just wired differently from us regular folks. Maybe she doesn’t care about raking in the dough and just wants to dance to her own rhythm.”

“Maybe, but would an interview with us somehow stop her from dancing well?”

“Like I said, she’s an artist. You can’t expect us mere mortals to get it.”

Regina had waited all day, right up until the office was about to close, and still no word from Dahlia. She was pretty miffed.

Could it be that her approach was all wrong?

But after poring over a ton of Dahlia’s videos, the only conclusion she could draw was that this woman wasn’t about to settle; she wanted to be the leading name in contemporary dance in the country.

Where was Dahlia now, and how could she be content being just a small-time dancer?

Regina was at her wit’s end.

If Dahlia really wanted to step it up, she should have taken up Regina’s offer for an interview. But now, with no contact since their last communication three days ago, Regina was about to lose faith in her own methods.

Just as she braced herself for the mockery of her colleagues, her phone buzzed with a new message.

[Ms. Tanner, do your words from our last chat still stand? I’m quite interested in your proposal.]

Regina’s hands trembled with excitement as she typed a response, taking several deep breaths to compose herself and appear calm.

[Absolutely. If you are interested, let’s find a convenient time to sit down and talk. Not just for the interview, but also for your future prospects in the country.”

[Good, tomorrow 2 PM at the coffee shop next to your office. I’ll come to you.]

[Perfect, I’ll be there on time.]

“Yes!” Regina felt like she’d won a battle; somehow, she had managed to secure an interview that had eluded all her seniors.

Youthful exuberance was hard for Regina to hide; her face beamed as she grabbed her things and swiftly clocked out.

Her colleagues huddled together. “No way, look at her face. Did she actually nail the Dahlia interview? Now I’m truly baffled. Maybe there’s some kind of secret girl-to-girl communication?”

Ahab sneered, “What special communication skills could they possibly have? It’s probably just chit-chat about shopping, makeup, and the like. Maybe Dahlia is just as trivial, and these topics are right up her alley. That’s why these two hit it off. So much for the artist’s spirit; deep down, they’re all just as ordinary.”
