Chapter 2646
It seemed as if all it would take was for her to clap her hands together and everything would fall into place.
But from the initial design to the final arrangements, including the dance choreography she had to learn, those were all the results of her own hard work and thoughts.
Why should her efforts be erased?
Was it just because her husband was Balfour? It wasn’t fair to her in the slightest.
[It’s hilarious. Ivy’s fans are losing their minds again. Without him, how could the studio have gotten off the ground so quickly?]
The mention of the studio silenced everyone because, indeed, Balfour had lent a hand. But they were a married couple; helping each other out was a given, wasn’t it? Should Balfour just stand by and watch Ivy get torn to shreds online without doing anything?
[I advise Ivy’s fans to face reality sooner rather than later. They’re a couple; things are never going to be that separable. Besides, having Balfour as her shield is a good thing, isn’t it? Others would kill for that kind of support, and yet you all complain? Can you please stop showing off like that?]
[Haha, I bet Ivy’s fans would actually say ‘no’ to such good fortune if it smacked them in the face.]
Ivy sang and danced for most of the show and played a VCR she’d recorded. It was filled with messages she wanted to share with her fans.
She had to record it several times because she would start to choke up as soon as sh began to speak. She never expected to be so overwhelmed with emotion.
Just thinking about facing an audience that genuinely adored her would make her lose
control of her tears.
It was as if all the grievances she had suffered over the days could finally be vented in front of her loved ones.
She knew they believed in her and supported her no matter what, and for that, she was truly grateful.
“Hey there, by the time you see this video, I’ll probably be at the backstage changing clothes.
I don’t know if you liked the first half of the show, but I really did put my heart into it.”
The fans shouted in unison, “We loved it!”
“Um, I don’t even know where to start, but what I really want to say is thank you. I’m so grateful. I don’t know what it is about me that you find likable, but I appreciate every one of you who came here today. Thank you for standing by me, for liking me. It’s really been hard on you.”
As Ivy looked into the camera, her eyes were red, and she gave a quick, nervous laugh, which naturally tugged at her fans’ heartstrings.
She didn’t spell it out, but her fans understood what she meant.
Liking someone else might not lead to the storm of controversy that loving Ivy did. Just after her first film, there was a slew of negative news about her.
One thing after another, as if Ivy’s very existence was a crime. But their affection wasn’t for someone else; it was only Ivy who could inspire such devoted love.
“I know that I’m just an ordinary actress, but with your support, I’ve become extraordinary. There’s a long road ahead, and I’ll keep going. As long as you’re with me, I’ll have the courage.”
At the end of the video, Ivy gave a shy smile, “I love you guys.”
“We love you too!” The fans responded with the utmost sincerity, and many quietly wiped away tears.
For Ivy and her fans, the past year had been tough. Getting to know Ivy was the best thing that had happened to the fans, but the ensuing conflicts had broken their hearts. They weren’t afraid of arguments with others, nor did they care if people regarded them mindless, but what they feared the most was Ivy herself not being happy.
