The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 2551

Chapter 2551

“Is she going to just sit in this hospital room until Balfour shows up? How bizarre,” Ivy muttered to herself.

As she washed her hands, she heard the restroom door open and someone else come in. Glancing up, her eyes widened in shock. “What are you doing here?”

Clara’s smirk was laced with malice. “Is this hospital your private property or something? If you can be here, why can’t I?”

Ivy’s brow furrowed deeply at the sight of her so-called “sister,” and her mood instantly soured.

She turned off the tap, intending to walk past her, but Clara stepped in the way, blocking her path.

“Is that any way to greet your sister? Can’t even say hello when you see me? Imagine what your fans would think if they saw this. Your perfect image would shatter to pieces online.” Ivy gave her a sidelong glance and let out a cold laugh. “Sister? Sorry, but I stopped having -family a long time ago, and I certainly don’t have a sister. My fans know that very well.

have no clue where you crawled out from.”

“Heh, still playing the tough girl, I see. Without Balfour, where would you get the nerve to stand up to me like this? The only difference between us is that you snagged a wealthy patron. Let’s just hope you can keep up the act in this fickle world.”

Ivy paused mid-step and sighed deeply. Despite being branded as someone who only got ahead because of the Howard Group since being with Balfour, she had chosen this path and was determined to see it through.

But what right did Clara have to judge her?

Not wanting to waste another moment with Clara, Ivy tried to leave, but suddenly, an arm reached out from behind, clamping tightly over her mouth.

Clara pressed a cloth soaked in some chemical over Ivy’s nose and mouth. After a brief struggle and some muffled groans, Ivy’s world faded to black.

Clara admired the limp form of Ivy on the floor, a twisted sense of satisfaction filling her as she contemplated Ivy’s helpless state.

“Oh, Ivy, always thought you were untouchable, didn’t you? Never saw this coming, huh? Just wait. When you come to, I’m going to make sure you’re living a nightmare, just to give you a taste of what I’ve been through.”

She hoisted Ivy onto a hospital bed and then slipped into a nondescript orderly’s uniform before shooting off a text to Mara.

[It’s done.]

Mara finally relaxed when she got the message. She had worried that Clara, clumsy as she was, might botch the job. But hatred, it seemed, could drive a person to accomplish the extraordinary.

After reading the message, Mara purged all traces of the conversation from her phone. She had to stay composed for the performance she would put on for Balfour.

Meanwhile, Ivy was wheeled along the path typically used by orderlies for routine tasks like changing linens or transporting those who had passed on. The only obstacle remaining was the hospital’s main entrance.

Balfour arrived at the hospital just as this peculiar orderly crossed his path. He glanced at the bed, feeling something was off, but the fleeting moment failed to raise any real alarm.

Upon reaching his grandmother’s room and finding only Mara, with no sign of Ivy, his concern ‘spiked.

“Where’s Ivy?” he asked immediately.

Mára rose from her seat, gesturing for him to step outside, not wanting to disturb Alyssa.
