The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 2455

Chapter 2455

[Karma’s a real kick in the pants! Everybody out there spinning tall tales and playing marketing games-you better watch out. Your day’s coming, just like it did for Seren!]

There were plenty of folks online who weren’t too wrapped up in the drama, but still couldn’t help but feel a rush of satisfaction when they caught wind of the scandal.

[This is the juiciest story of the year! Who thought they could get away with slinging mud on the internet? And acting all high and mighty, claiming to be an insider. But seriously, you all must have too much time on your hands to be duped by someone like her. The nonsense she spouted was so easy to debunk with a quick Google search-how could anyone believe she was the real deal? Besides, even if she was an ‘insider,’ what of it?! could be sweeping floors on a set and call myself an insider!]

The gist of the news was that people were just too idle.

With nothing better to do, they fell for the flimsy fictions spun by others, getting totally bamboozled by a make-believe world.

Meanwhile, Seren’s old account had just issued a new apology post to Ivy.

This time, she didn’t follow Mara’s advice and instead went straight for a public mea culpa to Eudora.

She knew well enough not to mess with this powerhouse and figured a little humility might score her some leniency in court.

Clara was still busy shooting commercials. Lady Luck was smiling on her these days.

Ever since she stepped over Ivy to climb the ladder, all sorts of advertisers had been eyeing her as the next big thing.

The gigs she’d snagged recently were more than she’d landed in the past few years combined.

But home life had been weird lately, especially with Tessa walking around like she’d seen a ghost.

Once the queen of the kitchen, Tessa now didn’t even bother, leaving the cooking to a maid whose meals were to die for-in the worst way possible!

Not a single dish had hit the spot for Clara.

Despite being as busy as a bee outside, she couldn’t even come home to a decent meal.

Even when Clara threw a fit at the dinner table, Tessa wouldn’t bat an eyelid. It all got so heated that Clara would retreat to her room and binge on snacks instead.

She vowed not to come home for dinner at all. With cash to burn, why not dine out with her posh pals?

The oddest thing was, her dad saw the whole circus and didn’t say a peep.

Before, if a meal wasn’t up to snuff, he’d have a full-blown tempest right there at the table.

Tessa would shrink back, terrified, apologizing like mad.

But what was up with them now? Were they heading for splitsville?

But the thought made Clara chuckle.

No way, not a chance. Dad might have his flings, but Tessa? She’d be lost without him.

There’s Clara, striking a pose for the camera, when out of the blue, the crew’s attention shifts from her to their phones, murmuring among themselves like it’s breaking news.

Trying to keep her cool, Clara wraps up the shoot before heading over to the director with a poker face to review the footage.

But who’d have guessed? The director’s suddenly lost all patience, “Scram, will ya? Don’t you know what you look like? What kind of magic do you think we can work here?”

Clara’s smile freezes in place. She might not be the belle of the ball, but come on-her looks are far from shabby.

Otherwise, why the heck would she be the darling of ad agencies lately?

Once upon a time, the director sang her praises. What the heck changed overnight?
