The staff member was smiling and respectful. She bowed to the distinguished guests before approaching Haillie
The staff member handed Haillie the bill, saying politely, “Haillie, this is the total cost for your group’s expenses at the racetrack. Could you please settle the bill?”
Haillie frowned, “Who told you to come find me for the bill?*
The staff member was a bit taken aback, explaining, “Someone just told us at the front desk that you needed to settle the bill now, so we came over. If this is not a good time, we can find you when you check out!”

The staff member seemed confused, “But that person assured us you would cover the cost, so we’ve already ordered three of the best lambs from local shepherds, as well
as a lot of expensive cooking ingredients and drinks in advance. If you cancel now, it will be very troublesome for us…”
