The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 2447

Chapter 2447

Mara couldn’t believe Seren had acted so recklessly; she hadn’t even attempted to cover her tracks. Yet, once enemies were made, no amount of planning could rectify the situation.

Determined to get herself out of this pickle, Mara began scheming.

Maybe, just maybe, she could turn this into an opportunity to shake off the bad rep she had with Balfour.

“Listen to me and do exactly as I say, or I can’t help you. Got it?”

Seren looked troubled after hearing Mara’s words. “Do you really think this will work? I’ve already ticked off that woman.”

“Your call. I’ve said my piece.”

Eudora Merrick had already handed the online debacle over to her lawyers. She had never encountered anyone audacious enough to openly challenge her.

Seren was practically flaunting over her head, suggesting that she was there to invade her privacy, as if taunting, “what can you do to me?”

But she hadn’t anticipated that the day after she threatened to sue Seren, Seren went ahead and posted a lengthy rant online. She argued that a clear conscience fears no accusation and dared Eudora to bring it on.

[Ever since I got tangled up in Ivy’s drama, a lot has happened. Probably more in these few days than in the last decade. But let me tell you, I might not be powerful, but I’m not just gonna lie down and take it. There are always people who stand for justice, and I believe I’m not alone.]

Seren played the sympathy card, then dragged Ivy back into it, highlighting some negative press about her, and went on a tirade against Eudora for wreaking havoc online with her family’s clout.

In short, she set the stage for an epic showdown.

The average Joe reading this felt a twinge of resentment. Why should these rich folks have it all and still thrive online?

Eudora scoffed at it. “A mistake is a mistake. All this blabber doesn’t change that. Just because you’re poorer, your misdeeds get a free pass?”

With her daily mountain of tasks, Eudora couldn’t care less about what that woman was spouting online. She left it all to her lawyers, freeing her from further headaches.

Meanwhile, the comment sections under both Eudora and Seren became battlegrounds for another war of words.

Some argued that these fans were wasting their breath fretting over celebs who made more money in a day than they did in a month.

Others felt that fact should not be ignored just because someone earns more. You can’t justify hurling insults just because someone’s paycheck is bigger than yours.

In the dead of night, Ivy finally stirred, waking to find Balfour holding her hand. He was instantly alert at her awakening.

“Why didn’t you crash on the bed over there? Must’ve been uncomfortable sleeping like that.”

Ivy, as if nothing had happened, wore a faint smile and urged Balfour to get some rest on the adjacent cot.

He had work in the morning, and after a night spent propped up like that, he was bound to feel uncomfortable the next day.

“I’m fine. How about you? Still feeling dizzy?”

Balfour didn’t bring up the incident. According to the doctors, Ivy should’ve been awake hours ago, but she stubbornly clung to unconsciousness, likely due to the heartache caused by her mother.

If only he had met Ivy sooner, he thought. He would never have let her endure such hardships. He couldn’t even begin to imagine what Ivy had suffered in that house.
