The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 2442

Chapter 2442

At that moment, his face was an ashen shade of rage.

“Where did this murderer come from? We can’t believe you just because you claim to be our star’s mother. Even if you were her birth mother, you have no right to cause chaos on my set.

And the way you attacked her was like you wanted her dead. How can someone like you even deserve to be called a mother?

Forget about her words. Just take her away and hand her over to the cops. Let them grill her. How can such a hellcat be Ivy’s mother?”

The director was holding back a storm inside. He truly didn’t know who Tessa was, but his words dripped with sarcasm.

Did she really think she could get away with assaulting her own daughter like that?

He hadn’t delved into Ivy’s backstory, and he certainly never imagined she had a mother like this.

Balfour arrived faster than the ambulance.

As soon as he got to the set, he slammed his car door and hurried over.

Seeing Ivy lying on the ground, his heart twisted in anguish.

He scanned the crowd and spotted a woman. She was clutching a handbag but looking a bit disheveled.

The crew members around her were on high alert.

“Who did this?” he asked.

Colton pointed at Tessa. Though Tessa had never seen Balfour before, she could sense. from his aura that he was a man of wealth and power.

Just as she was about to butter him up, Balfour, without a shred of merey, took off his wristwatch and slapped her with it.

The slap resonated, silencing everyone on set.

Everyone lowered their heads to pretend they hadn’t seen Balfour’s swift act of justice.

“That’s for Ivy,” he said. His voice was cold as ice.

As the siren of the ambulance echoed in the background, Balfour didn’t spare Tessa another glance, gently lifting Ivy into his arms.

But Tessa, accustomed to her privileges, was not one to take such an insult lying down. In her rage, she failed to recognize who Balfour was.

Seizing his wrist, she demanded, “Who do you think you are? Is this how you respect an elder?

What kind of upbringing did you have? Did your parents teach you nothing?”

Everyone around tensed up upon hearing Tessa’s words. This woman truly had a death wish by poking at Balfour’s sore spot.

Everyone knew that Balfour, the CEO of the Howard Group, had a no-go zone regarding his parents.

Yet here she was, berating Balfour’s own parents, calling out their supposed lack of manners.

Balfour just scoffed, “Who I am doesn’t matter. What matters is that you’re never going to have an easy life again.”

With those words, he pulled away from her grasp and carried Ivy off with purpose.

Colton jogged to catch up and shot a look to the assistant, “Stay here; make sure the cops take that woman in before you leave. Contact me if anything comes up.”

Once he heard the assistant’s confirmation, Colton felt at ease. A woman like that needed to learn a lesson, thinking she could get violent just because she was Ivy’s mother, showing absolutely no compassion.

Seeing Balfour’s reaction, it was clear he already knew the kind of person Ivy’s mother was.

That slap, though harsh, seemed to satisfy everyone on set.
