The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 2412

Chapter 2412

Seren couldn’t shake the feeling that she was dealing with someone well above her pay grade. Having rubbed elbows with the high and mighty, the lawyer Mara chose must be more skilled than the one she could find. And to top it off, there was no way she’d be asked to foot the bill for such steep legal fees. The leftover cash could be stashed away for a fresh start in a new city once this whole mess was over.

“Come on, you should’ve just said so earlier, and we wouldn’t have had to grill you about it,” Seren chided with a half-hearted laugh. “You’re the one who’s been abroad, right? You must know way more than us about this kind of stuff.”

After ending the call, Seren let out a long sigh of relief. Then, she was back online, scrolling through the heated comments under the gossip posts she had ignited.

The top-liked comment, anonymously upvoted by Seren with another account, read: [Can you believe Ivy? With her shoddy behavior, she’s still an actress. Shows how low the bar’s gotten.]

Indeed, it seemed like anyone could be an actor these days, even become a star.

What was so special about Ivy?

Surprisingly, many people liked her, and she could still make a substantial amount of

money.

Seren felt a deep sense of injustice.

[Actress sneaks into director’s room after hours – no wonder she landed the lead with Colton so early in her career!]

Seren mulled over her crafted headline, convinced it was both sensational and cryptic enough to set the internet ablaze on an otherwise tranquil day. She reveled in the scandalous details she’d concocted about Ivy and hit send without hesitation.

The internet erupted once more.

[Disgusting. Just as we all suspected. How could a newbie land a role in a Colton flick without some behind-the-scenes action?]

[Shocked, truly shocked. My former favorite actress turns out to be this kind of person! And to think I bought her innocent act in the trailers.]

[LOL, told you so. Some people are just fakes. Cot cursed out by her fans for days, and I still get hate. This is what some actresses deserve.]

“Leo, take a look at this. Seren’s at it again, spreading rumors with a new post. Tsk, the lies are even more preposterous this time, downright disgraceful. I can’t fathom how such a vague post has people assuming it’s about Ms. Dunhill.”

Chapter 2412

The legal community was abuzz with the news that Ivy was the granddaughter-in-law of none other than Alyssa Howard. The slander heaped upon the Howard family’s darling by faceless netizens was enough to make anyone’s blood run cold.

“Fools rush in where angels fear to tread. She’s completely ignored my warnings. If she’s so hell-bent on self-destruction, then we don’t need to hold back. Gather all the

evidence-her sneaky upvotes, the slant of the comments, everything. She’s done for.”

“Understood.”

They had hoped a scare might be enough to set her straight, but Seren was clearly addicted to playing the insider. Barely off a warning call, and she was brazenly peddling half-truths. Some people never learn.

“We’ll ensure she learns the hard way that spreading lies and tarnishing someone’s reputation comes with a hefty price tag.”

Especially when that someone was Alyssa’s pride and joy – a person Seren couldn’t afford

to cross.

Mara hung up from Seren, her grip on her phone turning her knuckles white. She wasn’t sure what Balfour knew, but if he did know something, why hadn’t he confronted her directly?
