“Seren, the words you’re spewing right now amount to threats,” said Leo firmly. “I’ll take note on behalf of Ms. Dunhill, and we’ll proceed to sue you step by step according to the legal process. If you spread more rumors online, I can assure you that you’ll face the full wrath of the law. Save your breath; any discussions can be directed to your attorney. And just to remind you, Seren, any unverified facts that get blown out of proportion and spread across the internet by gossipers amount to slander. You’re infringing on the rights of our client.”
Leo had done his duty. Anyone with a shred of sense would take to the internet now to clear the air. They would highlight the exaggerated parts of their previous posts and issue an apology to Ivy.
Unfortunately, not everyone had such clarity. Often, it wasn’t until disaster was upon them that they realized their missteps.
After being hung up on, Seren was at a loss. That woman had told her that all she needed to do was stir the pot online, even leaving her a tidy sum for hiring online trolls.
But Seren hadn’t touched that money; she never expected Ivy’s popularity to skyrocket.
