The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 2169

Chapter 2169

think did it?” The buzz among the crew was hard to miss.

“Honestly, I still think it was Ivy,” one of the stagehands said, echoing the sentiments of the leading lady. “Giselle can’t be that daft, right? To stuff evidence in her own bag? If it were Giselle, she’d have destroyed the evidence first thing, not bring it to the set, right?”

“I don’t see it that way,” another piped up, leaning against a prop. “Everyone trips up sometimes. Maybe she thought she was above suspicion and got careless, accidentally bringing the evidence with her. I mean, Ivy doesn’t strike me as the villain type. She shows up every day, nose deep in her script, barely mingling with us. She’s quiet, keeps to herself. Treats everyone with the same level of decency. Apart from when she’s in character, riding those emotional waves, I’ve never really seen her lose her cool. Could someone that level-headed really stoop to such lows?”

That got them thinking about Ivy’s everyday presence on set. She was a newcomer, but her acting didn’t just hold up against the seasoned pros. In many scenes, she dominated.

“If she’s as good as you say, it’s no wonder Giselle would have it in for her,” the first crew member mused. “Years in the business and she’s upstaged by a rookie? I’d be sour too.”

And it wasn’t just Ivy. The supporting actress, Diana, was also a force to be reckoned with. Gone were the days when a pretty face alone could charm the audience.

Now, it’s all about the total package: beauty and talent. Take Ivy, for instance. One teaser clip and her follower count spikes by eight hundred thousand. That kind of star power makes people green with envy.

As the plot thickened and Diana’s character grew more prominent, her commendable acting skills earned her a surge of followers too.

Giselle, on the other hand, delivered a lukewarm performance in her recent film. It’s nothing special, nothing disastrous.

The director knew Giselle was a big name and didn’t expect her to pull off a stellar performance. So, her fan base remained static, some even shifting to Ivy.

This was Giselle’s bitter pill to swallow.

Every time she saw fans gushing over Ivy’s dazzling performance online, Giselle wanted to rip through the screen and silence them.

They had promised undying support, yet here they were, fawning over the new girl.

Fickle, disloyal cretins!

Unable to stomach it, Giselle had her assistant clamp down on any mention of other actresses in her fan groups.

Officially, it was to prevent harmful gossip. But in reality, she was just jealous. She loathed Ivy deeply.

The ban only stirred up trouble among the fans, who didn’t understand why discussing other actresses was an issue for Giselle.

Some thought the fan group’s rules were too restrictive, so they left to follow Ivy instead.

Giselle was fuming but powerless.

“Anyway,” one crew member concluded, wrapping their arms tighter around themselves, “the squabbles of the stars are beyond our understanding.”

They stood by, watching the drama unfold, not nearly as agitated as the rest.
