At that moment, her excuses seemed incredibly flimsy and pale.
Who would accidentally drop a suit into her bag for no reason?
Not to mention that the zipper on her bag had clearly been closed tight before.
And let’s not even talk about the fact that her assistant had been guarding her bag all along. Sneaking something into it would have been impossible!
Feeling the silence, Giselle quickly shifted the blame to her young assistant who had just returned from the restroom. “Where the heck were you? What kind of watching is that? How could someone slip something into my bag right under your nose?”
The assistant’s face was a mixture of hurt and innocence. What had he done wrong? No one had touched the bag!
“Giselle, I’ve been right here the whole time, I swear! I only stepped away for two minutes to hit the john, and nobody touched your bag, let alone put that suit in there! Could it be that you accidentally packed your own clothes in there?”
The assistant’s question voiced everyone’s thoughts. It seemed like the only plausible explanation.
“Did you hear that? The footage might actually show Giselle… tsk, tsk, tsk, you never really know someone, do you? What could Ivy and Diana have possibly done to her to warrant such a calculated attack?”
“What’s there not to understand? It’s the classic tale of the new wave crashing into the olà. She’s scared of being the washed-up has-been, left stranded on the beach. Tsk, tsk, tsk, what a drama queen! And to think she pretended to be speaking up for Ivy! In reality, she didn’t just target Diana, she tried to frame Ivy!”
Just ten minutes ago, this crowd had been looking down their noses at Ivy, with Giselle portrayed as some sort of flawless goddess.
But now, they’d quickly turned their guns on Giselle, painting her as the prime
Giselle stood there stiff as a board, unable to imagine what Balfour would think after hearing all this.
At dinner earlier, she had been all too eager to add fuel to the fire regarding Ivy’s incid
But back then, Ivy was the true suspect. Now, with roles reversed and herself under suspicion, what would Balfour think of her?
The situation was a disaster!
The people in this film crew were opportunists, quick to step on Giselle now that the tide had turned.

Even the bespectacled woman was panicking. The clothes that had fallen out of Giselle’s bag were an exact match to the ones Ivy had been wearing in the surveillance video!
Just moments ago, she had been ranting about how terrible Ivy was. Now that the tables had turned, she was flustered and desperately asked Giselle, “Giselle, how on earth did these clothes end up in your bag? Could someone be setting you up?”

Her implication was crystal clear – she was trying to deflect the blame back onto Ivy, or else she herself wouldn’t be able to face anyone anymore!
Ivy watched these flip-floppers coldly.
They had slandered her to no end just before, and now they were ready to pin everything on Giselle, showing no sign of independent thought.
They were worse than weather vanes!
“Yes! You’re right, it must be a setup! Otherwise, how would this suit just magically appear in my bag? I didn’t pack any clothes when I left my house this morning. Think about it, if I were the culprit, why would I boldly stuff the same article of clothing in my bag for everyone to find?”
