The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 1989

Chapter 1989

As Balfour watched her leave the room, his gaze was shimmering with an unspoken depth.

Quinton worked at lightning speed, setting up the studio really quick and even getting in touch with some extras for Ivy to choose from.

Ivy selected the most suitable extras based on the ‘script’ she’d prepared in advance. After a quick rehearsal, everything seemed to be on track.

When the time for the audition arrived, Clara made it a point to rise early and get dolled up.

This was a golden opportunity for a screen test and she was hell-bent on nailing the part!

First impressions mattered a ton, and she intended to dazzle the director with her beauty and acting chops!

She was super content with her mirror image after she decked. And she strutted downstairs in her heels.

“Looking absolutely fabulous today, Clara!” Tessa smiled, showering her with compliments.

Basking in the praise, Clara beamed, “I’ve got a screen test today. Had to look my best, didn’t I?”

“Oh, with you looking this stunning, the audition’s going to be a breeze, Tessa said with a grin, practically ushering Clara out the door.

Upon arriving at the designated location, Ivy’s arranged “assistant director” was already waiting eagerly at the entrance.

“You’re Clara Dunhill, right?”

“Yes, that’s me,” Clara replied haughtily, tilting her chin up as she greeted the “assistant director,” “I was contacted by the casting director for a screen test!”

“Follow us, please!” Following the scripted scenario they’d rehearsed, the “assistant director” led Clara into the studio, “Ms. Dunhill, the ‘director’ hasn’t arrived just yet. Why don’t you wait here for a bit?”

Clara’s eyes lit up as she surveyed the impressively professional studio, thinking to herself how well-funded the production seemed.

“Is this where we’ll be shooting?”

“Yeah, this is just one of the spots for interior shots. A lot of our scenes will be on location.”

The “assistant director” answered. As he did so, he looked a few feet away and greeted with a smile, “The ‘director’ is here. Let’s go.”

Clara hurried over, but her heels slowed her down and her eagerness to move faster made for a rather extravagant walk.

Ivy, watching from the shadows, couldn’t help but smirk.

Finally, Clara reached the “director, and hastily fixed her hair, “Hello, Director. I’m Clara and I’m really eager to join your crew.”

The “director” looked Clara over and nodded in approval, “Indeed, you fit the role perfectly. Orion, hand Ms. Dunhill the script and take her to prepare for

her scene.”

Clara’s heart swelled with pride upon the director’s praise and she eagerly took the script from the “assistant director”, Orion.

She flipped through the script, scanning the character profiles and plot while her expression soured instantly, “Wait, I’m supposed to play this Quincy character?”

Orion leaned in, glancing at the script, “Yes, Ms. Dunhill. Quincy’s the role you’ll be auditioning for
