Theo maneuvered around his desk to her side, naturally taking the cup of coffee from her hand and taking a sip. “Hmm, where are you taking me later?”
“You’ll know when we get there. But first, let me fill you in on the company’s progress over the past three years.”
Theo gently ruffled her hair. “No need. I got the gist of it during the meeting. Now, you can just take me along.”
Ellinor looked up at him, feeling inwardly annoyed. He was flirting too much; his “take me along” sounded so suggestive. It was as if she were about to lead him into some mischief.
After brushing off his hand from her head, Ellinor stood up, grabbed his tie, and lightly tugged at him. “Then let’s go.”
The man put down the coffee cup, letting the young woman lead him out of the CEO’s office.
The first one to be shocked was the secretary at the door.
The next ones stunned were the entire company’s employees. They watched in astonishment and admiration until they saw Ellinor drag Mr. Blanchet into the elevator.

After the elevator door closed, Ellinor finally let go of his tie.
However, due to the tug, the man’s tie had tightened quite a bit. He straightened up and loosened it himself.
“Missy, you’re not leaving me any dignity. How am I supposed to manage the employees in the future?”
Ellinor glanced at him disdainfully. “You didn’t leave me any dignity yesterday or today!”
Theo raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean? When did I not leave you any dignity?”
Ellinor huffed. “I won’t even mention yesterday. This morning, you told Grandma to let me sleep in because I was tired. You deliberately made her misunderstand…”
The man laughed, “Misunderstand what? Hmm?”
Ellinor had to admit that when it came to shamelessness, she couldn’t compete with this man.
“Nothing!”
Theo wrapped an arm around her shoulder and bent down to whisper in her ear. “So letting you sleep in was wrong? Alright, I’ll try not to let you sleep at all next time and keep you up all night. Is that better?”
Ellinor felt goosebumps. “Enough! Can you be serious? There’s a camera in the elevator. Aren’t you afraid your employees will see, and it’ll affect your image?”
Theo didn’t mind being seen. He didn’t think flirting with his wife was anything to be ashamed of. But he knew if he kept teasing her, she might get angry and bite. So, he stopped joking.
He straightened up and cleared his throat. “Okay, I’ll be serious. Darling, where are we going next?”
‘Astoria General Hospital.”
After hearing that they were going to the hospital, Theo’s face fell. “What’s wrong? Why are we going to the hospital? Are you not feeling well? Let me check!”
Ellinor shook her head. “I’m fine. I’m just taking you to meet someone.”

The elevator door opened, and Ellinor took his hand, leading him out and into the car.

Ever since Marlinie reunited with her daughter, her condition had improved significantly. However, there was also a negative impact. She would stare blankly at the door, hoping her daughter would come.
Just as Bertha brought a bowl of porridge to Marlinje, she saw her not taking it but staring straight at the door of the ward. She sighed. “Marlinie, stop looking. Ellinor must be busy. She’ll come when she’s done.”
Marlinie snapped back to reality and took the porridge from her friend. “Hmm.”
Bertha shook her head helplessly and sat down on a nearby chair.
