Chapter 1825
Ellinor didn’t want to intrude on their reunion. She left Theo alone with the elders and gently led her four kids up the stairs.
Once in their room, Ellinor took a seat on the couch, seemingly calm. Her daughter, Layla, came over to her, asking, “Mommy, is that man really our dad?”
Ellinor gently lifted her gaze to her daughter as she nodded. “Yes, he is your dad. Do you like him?”
Layla scrunched up her face in confusion. “I don’t know, and I don’t know him. But if Mommy likes him, I like him!”
Raising an eyebrow, Ellinor asked, “So you think I like him?”
Layla nodded. “Yeah! You must really like him, Mommy!”
Caught off guard, Ellinor pulled her daughter into her arms and caressed her small face. “And how did you figure that out?”
Layla’s bright eyes sparkled. “Because you let him kiss you. If you didn’t like him, you wouldn’t let him kiss you.”
Ellinor sighed helplessly. “Oh! So, you did see that!”
Layla giggled. “Not just me. All my brothers saw it too!”
Ellinor rubbed her forehead in frustration. Her dignity as a mother was surely at stake now.
“Alright, go play. Mommy needs some alone time.” She said, wanting to change the subject.
“Okay!” Layla obediently hopped off her mother’s lap and ran off to play with her three brothers.
Alone on the couch, Ellinor leaned back as her hand rested on her forehead.
Everything still felt surreal.
He was really back.
He was back with her and the Blanchet family.
Since he was downstairs, probably calming his grandparents, she figured it would be a while before he came up.
Ellinor had so many questions for him, but she was so emotionally overwhelmed that she didn’t know where to start.
While she was lost in thought, she heard a knock at the door.
Even after returning home, he still remembered to knock?
He used to just barge in before.
Ellinor got up to answer the door, but it wasn’t Theo.
Standing at the door was a maid with a joyful smile. “Ellinor, the young master asked me to watch the children. He wants you to go to the study and see him.”
Ellinor nodded. “Alright.”
Instead of leaving immediately, she went back to her room to change before heading out.
She hadn’t been in Theo’s study much in the past few years.
She only entered it when she missed him. She’d sit quietly in the study for a while and think about him.
Now, the person she missed was back. Her happiness was indescribable.
She had many questions to ask, so heading to the study to talk seemed like a good idea, especially to avoid the kids’ mischief.
As she was about to open the door to the study, Ellinor’s hand paused. She hesitated for a moment, then she knocked.
There was no reply.
Suddenly, someone opened the door and pulled her in.
What hit her next was the cold aura of the man and a passionate kiss that seemed to rock her entire sense of reality.
Caught off guard by the kiss, Ellinor tried to push him away but soon gave up.
Just like before, he loved kissing her.
His soft kiss traveled from her lips to her neck as he slowly tilted her chin up, revealing more skin for him to savor.
In pain, Ellinor gasped, waking from her daze. She couldn’t let him continue like this.
Frowning, she pushed him away. “Enough!”
The man stopped kissing her but didn’t let go of her. He hugged her tightly and rubbed his face against her neck. “Not enough!”
