Chapter 1820
In the car, Baber saw the menacing father-son duo outside and instantly felt guilty. He was the cause of the trouble today. He furrowed his brows, contemplating stepping out to help his mother so he could shoulder the blame.
As his hand reached for the door handle, he was pulled back by his siblings, Adrian and Layla.
“Baber, you can’t go out there!”
“Baber, have you forgotten what Mom told us? Going out will only cause more trouble for her.”
Baber was despondent. “But…”
He had caused this mess. Those people were causing trouble for his mom because of him.
“No buts, we should listen to Mom.” Adrian firmly stated.
Layla echoed her brother’s thoughts. “Baber, please behave.”
Convinced by his younger siblings, Baber retracted his hand from the door handle and decided to watch the unfolding events from inside the car.
Outside the car, Ellinor was calmly facing the domineering father-son duo. “So, what’s the purpose of ambushing me here?”
The father, feeling Ellinor was playing dumb, glared at her. “What’s the purpose? Your son hit my son the other day, traumatizing him. He hasn’t been able to eat properly! He’s even lost weight! I’ll say it again! Your son must kneel and apologize to mine today!”
Ellinor raised an eyebrow. “What if my son refuses to kneel?”
The father, irritated by her defiance, bared his teeth. “If he won’t kneel, you can!”
Ellinor laughed. “How interesting! First of all, your son doesn’t look like he’s lost any weight. And second, is this how you’re raising your child? After you’ve encouraged such behavior, what do you think he’ll grow up to be? He’ll be a thug like you.”
The father, humiliated and furious, yelled, “Who are you calling a thug?! Woman, are you asking for trouble?!”
Unfazed, Ellinor scoffed. “I’m calling you a thug, of course! Aren’t your actions right now exactly what a thug would do? What normal person would set up an ambush like this?”
The father, unable to outwit her, was even more enraged.
“You… you… You’re pushing your luck! I thought of giving you a chance, considering you’re a single mom with three kids. As long as your son kneels and apologizes to mine, we can let this go. But you don’t seem to want that, so don’t blame me for being ruthless!”
Ellinor folded her arms. “Oh really? I’d like to see what you’re capable of.”
The father snapped his fingers. “Everyone, come out!”
At his command, a group of robust women stepped out of the surrounding cars.
Ellinor squinted at them. “So you’re planning to gang up on me?”
The father, mistaking her squint for fear, laughed. “Isn’t this what you asked for? I’ll have you know, I’m not a thug. I’ve never hit a woman because I want to set a good example for my son. But women fighting women? Now that’s fair game!”
Ellinor looked at the man in front of her with utter contempt, feeling nothing but revulsion.
The father lifted his chubby son. “Well? Scared now? It’s not too late! Have your son come out and apologize to mine right now!”
Ellinor feigned fear. “Oh, I am so scared. But let me tell you this. There’s no chance in hell I’m making my son apologize for something he didn’t do!”
The father gritted his teeth. “Fine! You’ve asked for this! Get her! Beat her senseless! Let her understand the consequences of messing with my son!”
The robust women, after a resounding affirmation, began cracking their knuckles and advancing towards Ellinor.
