The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 1812

Chapter 1812

As Ellinor was about to knock on the hospital door, it suddenly swung open from the inside.

Several men dressed in sleek black suits emerged, carrying everyday items, looking like they were here to pick up a discharged patient.

Ellinor double-checked the room number, confirming that it matched the one Ida had given her. She then asked one of the men in black, “Excuse me, is the patient in this room being discharged?”

The man eyed her suspiciously. “Who are you, and why are you asking?”

“I’ve come to visit the patient in this room.”

The man brusquely said, “Scram! The patient in this room isn’t just anyone’s to visit! Without the orders of our lady or her daughter, no one can enter!“

Their lady and her daughter? Ellinor quickly understood who the man was talking about. “I know your lady and her daughter. Tell them Ellinor is here; they’ll let me in.”

Ellinor?

The man had heard this name before, particularly during recent arguments between the lady and her daughter.

So, this was the Ellinor who the young lady was talking about? The man scrutinized Ellinor from head to toe. He pondered for a moment and then said, “Wait here!”

After brusquely leaving her, he turned and re-entered the room.

Less than ten seconds later, Bertha and Lea came out in

“Ellinor, how did you get here?”

“Ellinor, you’re here!”

person.

Ellinor looked at the mother-daughter pair and asked, “Madam, is the old friend you mentioned the other day in this room?”

Seeing that there was no point in continuing the pretense, Bertha nodded. “Yes, she’s inside. Would you like to see her?”

Ellinor nodded. “Yes.”

“Come with me, Ellinor! Ms. Marlinie has been longing to see you!” Lea excitedly grabbed Ellinor’s hand and started pulling her into the room.

For some reason, despite her eagerness to meet the patient, when it came down to it, Ellinor felt a strange reluctance to enter. It was as if there was something she feared, and it was only Lea’s tugging that kept her moving forward.

Before long, Ellinor found herself standing in the middle of the hospital room, staring at the woman on the bed. She was pale yet gentle-looking, a woman of captivating beauty.

There was always a certain connection between a mother and daughter, and without needing any proof, Ellinor knew instantly that this beautiful woman was her birth mother.

Marlinie had no idea who had entered the room. She was staring out the window at the sky, lost in thought.

Suddenly, she felt a warm gaze on her and turned to see who it was.

After seeing Ellinor, she was taken aback. Then her eyes welled up with tears.

“Pearl…”

Ellinor had almost forgotten that she used to be called that. Hearing this name again from her mother’s mouth stirred many long-buried memories.

As she walked to her bedside and stared at her mother, she didn’t know what to do or what to say.

Lea, ever observant, quickly pushed a chair towards Ellinor and helped her sit down. “Ellinor, you can sit here and catch up with Ms. Marlinie. My mom and I will go out to buy some stuff.”
