The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 1811

Chapter 1811

At that thought, Ellinor couldn’t stay put for a second longer. She grabbed hold of Ida’s shirt. “Which room? Which room is she in?” Ellinor demanded to know.

Ida told her truthfully.

In a rush, Ellinor gave out a few more instructions. “Watch the kids for me, and tell Chase and Belinda that I’ll catch up with them at the wedding reception tonight.”

Noticing Ellinor’s frantic state, Ida began to worry. “Boss, let me come with you.” She offered.

Ellinor shook her head in refusal. “You can’t! You have to keep an eye on the kids. I’ll be fine; don’t worry.”

With that, she shrugged Ida off and hurried out to her car.

It took forty minutes for Ellinor to drive to the hospital. Impatient, she left her car parked haphazardly by the side of the road and bolted into the hospital entrance.

Lady Lotus was there! Her mother was still alive!

Ellinor was too anxious. She wanted to see her mother so badly. Her breathing became ragged as she waited for the elevator.

As soon as the elevator doors opened, she stepped in quickly.

To her surprise, Byran was wheeling Mr. Howard out of the elevator, planning to take his father out for some sun.

Upon seeing Ellinor, Byran paused before greeting her enthusiastically, “Sis! You’re here to see Dad, too?”

Mr. Howard also looked at Ellinor with a hint of surprise and pleasure.

Ellinor froze, furrowing her brows, before replying coldly, “No, I’m not.”

The light in Mr. Howard’s eyes dimmed, and he looked down, disappointed.

Ellinor didn’t want to engage in further conversation and moved past them to get into the elevator.

Byran, however, wasn’t about to let it go. “Sis! If you’re not here to see Dad, then who are you here for?”

Ellinor snapped. “Do I have to tell you?”

Stubbornly, Byran insisted. “I want to know. What’s wrong with that? Isn’t today Chase and Belinda’s wedding? You’re not at the ceremony, but here, so this person must be really important to you, right?”

Ellinor shot back. “This is not the place for a conversation. Are you getting out or not? Don’t hold up other people!”

There were other patients’ families in the elevator, nodding in agreement. “Yeah! Are you getting out or not?”

As Byran was about to retort, Mr. Howard coughed lightly and said, “That’s enough, Byran. Take me outside; let’s not hold up others.

Cornered by the disapproving glares of the others, Byran finally wheeled his father out of the elevator.

Once the elevator doors closed, Byran turned to look at the ascending indicator, feeling very puzzled. “Dad, who do you think Sis,came to see at the hospital?”

“If your sister doesn’t want to tell you, don’t pry. Now, let’s go. Weren’t you supposed to take me outside to enjoy the sun?”

Still curious, Byran wondered who could be so important that Ellinor would leave Chase and Belinda’s wedding to see them./

Could it be Theo?

He’d have to find a way to check.

Ellinor found the room Ida had told her about. She paused at the door, catching her breath, before finally stepping in.
