The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 1790

Chapter 1790

As Tracy gestured with her hands to add emphasis to her words, she forgot that Marlinie’s blood still stained her fingers.

Upon seeing the blood, the leader of the men in black suits knitted his brows. “The lady and the young miss might be injured. Search the house right away!” He immediately ordered.

The men behind him rushed into the house to conduct their search. They meticulously searched the upstairs and downstairs areas.

Seeing this, Tracy and Sheila were utterly panicked and began trembling with fear.

Tracy didn’t even have time to help her daughter up. She stood to confront the men yet again. “What are you doing? Who gave you permission to come in?! Don’t touch our things! Get out, or I’ll call the police!”

However, she couldn’t stop any of them, and none of them took her warning seriously.

The leader of the men said to Tracy, “Ma’am, if you want to call the police, go ahead. When they come, we will deal with them. But for now, please don’t obstruct our search.”

Tracy gritted her teeth. “Hooligans! You’re nothing but hooligans!”

If she could’ve called the police, she would have done so already. But if the police came, they would find out that she had stabbed someone.

After shutting Tracy up, the leader turned to make a phone call to report the situation to his boss.

Sheila stood up, terrified and indignant at the situation. “Mom! Let’s call the police! Look at them; they’ve turned our house upside down!”

In a hushed tone, Tracy replied to her daughter, “We can’t, Sheila! We can’t call the police! If we do, they will arrest me too!”

Sheila was confused. “Why? Mom, we just locked those two women up for a while. If we deny it, they can’t prove we locked them up.”

Worried, Tracy continued, “When you went downstairs to open the door, the woman tried to run after you. I…I panicked and cut her with a knife. She…she lost a lot of blood…”

“What?!” Sheila was horrified. “Mom…did you really stab someone? What…what are we going to do? Those two women and that child seem to be pretty important.”

Tracy was also worried about this. Who would have thought that these two ordinary-looking women (she couldn’t accept that they were more beautiful than her) looking for Arnold would know such influential people?!

Soon, the men would find them.

As expected, before Tracy and Sheila could come up with a plan, a voice came from upstairs.

“We found them! We found them! The lady and the young miss are locked in here!”

“Quick! Call an ambulance! The lady’s friend is injured!”

Some of the men ran upstairs to help move the injured Marlinie, while others hurriedly called for an ambulance.

After reporting the situation to his boss, the leader was somewhat relieved to hear that it was the lady’s friend who was injured, not the lady and the young miss.

Thank God! Thank God the lady and the young miss were not hurt. Otherwise, when the boss arrived, he would have held them accountable.

But the lady’s friend was also important. If anything happened to her that upset the lady, the boss would still blame them.

Damn it! They should’ve entered the house with the lady and the young miss right from the start; otherwise, then this wouldn’t have happened.
