Ida looked wary. “Thaddeus’ daughter asked you to meet? Boss, you’ve got to be careful. I don’t think you should go.”
Ellinor was somewhat guarded about Lea, but based on her intuition, she still felt that Lea and her mother were different from Thaddeus and Sophia.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be cautious.”
Ida wanted to dissuade her boss further, but suddenly Byran came over with a wedding gown. “Ida, try this one on. I think you’ll look gorgeous in this on our wedding day.”
Ida was truly speechless.
Ellinor chuckled and nudged Ida. “Go on! Try it on. He’s brought it all the way here.”
Ida adjusted her golden-rimmed glasses. “Boss, stop messing with me!”
Ellinor shrugged. “I’m not kidding. It will look great on you.”
Ida was at a loss for words. She felt so awkward.
Byran, after hearing his sister agree, was more convinced of his choice. “Ida, did you hear that? My sister said it’s a good pick. Come on, try it on!” Before Ida could refuse, Byran had already dragged her to the fitting room.
Back at the spot, Ellinor watched the two of them with a small smile, then fell into deep thought.
After a while, she texted the time and location to the same number from earlier.
After an hour of trying on and selecting, Belinda finally settled on her wedding dress.
However, Byran was still picking. He almost wanted to rent the entire bridal shop so Ida could try on each dress. In the end, Ida had to sternly drag him out of the shop.
Outside the bridal shop, Ellinor said a quick goodbye to them before hailing a cab.
Ida approached her, asking in a low voice, “Boss, are you really going to meet Thaddeus’ daughter?”
Ellinor nodded slightly. “I’m curious about why they’d want to see me.”
Ida wanted to persuade her boss not to go, but she knew once Ellinor made up her mind, no one could change it.
“I’ve got nothing planned this afternoon. I can go with you.”
While Ellinor didn’t mind Ida’s company, Byran was still eagerly waiting for Ida.
It seemed that if Ida went with her, Byran would definitely follow, and they wouldn’t be able to shake him off.
Byran, with his restless personality, would just add to the chaos.
Considering this, Ellinor shook her head. “Don’t worry about me; I’ve got it under control. I’ve set the time and place. I’ll be prepared.”
Ida frowned. “But…”
Ellinor cut her off with a smile. “Alright, no more buts! You better handle that young lad first. Don’t let him cause me any trouble.”
Ida turned to look at Byran, who was waiting with his arms folded. She understood what her boss meant and sighed in resignation. “Alright, but be careful out there and keep in touch.”
Ellinor gave her a thumbs-up, then hailed a taxi and left.
Only after the taxi was out of sight did Byran approach Ida and ask, “Where’s my sister going? Why didn’t she let us give her a ride?”
Ida turned and gave him a look. “You still have the nerve to ask? She finds you annoying!”
