The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 1732

Chapter 1732

Ellinor had had enough. “Would you please leave?!”

Bartlett, with a defiant grin, shrugged nonchalantly. “Sure! You’re done with your meeting, right? Let’s go check out Blue River Estates together and have a proper work chat.”

Ellinor wasn’t interested in accompanying him anymore and waved him off. “We don’t need to check it out. Go right ahead and set up whatever you want, as long as it doesn’t exceed a fifth of the land.

She simply didn’t want to deal with this man, who could be so unpredictably annoying.

Bartlett, having waited up till now, wasn’t about to give up. “Ellinor, you’ve kept me waiting, and now you’re going to give me the slip?”

“I’ve agreed to all your demands. Aren’t you satisfied? Or do you want me to inspect the place, find problems, and reject your proposal? Would that make you happy?”

Bartlett was overly confident. “I want you to come with me, see the place, and realize how visionary my proposal is. You might even start to like me. Ellinor, I have absolute confidence in my proposal, and I believe you won’t reject me.”

Ellinor forced a smile. “I’m not rejecting you. Now leave; we’ve settled this!”

Upon seeing Ellinor’s obvious desire to avoid him, Bartlett paused in buttoning his shirt. “Ellinor, are you really going to force me to run wild? You can tell I’m not the type to care about dignity. If you don’t come with me, I’ll run out disheveled and claim that you, a high-ranking executive of the Blanchet Corporation, have harassed your partner!”

Ellinor was speechless.

Bartlett pretended to head for the door, causing Ellinor to feel a throbbing pain in her head. To avoid more trouble, she quickly grabbed him. “Fine, I’ll go with you!”

“That’s more like it, Ellinor! Come out with me, so you can relax a bit.” Bartlett swiftly finished buttoning his shirt and slung his jacket over his arm. “Let’s go then.”

Ellinor sighed in resignation. “Wait a moment; I have to inform my secretary about some matters.”

Bartlett shrugged. “Alright, no problem. I’ll wait for you at the elevator.”

“Okay.” Ellinor responded and went back to her office to brief her secretary about the follow-up work.

Bartlett wasn’t worried about being stood up. He knew Ellinor well enough to know that once she made a promise, she would keep it.

When Ellinor finished her work and came out, Bartlett was still waiting lazily at the elevator. His handsome eyes formed a pleasing curve as soon as he saw her.

Ellinor ignored him and walked over to press the elevator button.

Bartlett followed her into the elevator and glanced at her. “Why the long face? Are you that upset about going out with me?”

Ellinor huffed. “You know I’m not happy, yet you won’t let it go. Let’s cut the chatter!”

Despite her cold reception, Bartlett’s smile widened. “I like your frankness. You’re not like other girls who put on a front when they see me.”

Ellinor glanced at him. “How do you know they’re not genuine? What if they’re serious about you?”

Bartlett shrugged and crossed his arms. “Then I wouldn’t be interested. I don’t like them; I like you.”

Ellinor’s eyes turned cold, and, at this moment, her distaste for him was clearly evident. “I don’t like you.”

Bartlett laughed instead of getting angry. “The more honest you are, the more like you.”

Ellinor’s mouth twitched, and she stopped talking.

Bartlett wasn’t an ordinary man; he could turn any conversation into a flirtatious one.

As they exited the elevator, Bartlett started to head for his car, but Ellinor stopped him.
