The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 1675

Chapter 1675

She didn’t hesitate for a moment and whipped around to dart towards that special examination room.

However, Balfour caught her arm, pulling her into an empty storage room nearby.

It was a close call. They had just hidden in the storage room when Sophia came out of the consultation room.

The doctor in the white lab coat escorted her out. “Ms. Sophia, why don’t you take a stroll nearby? We will be done with your request in about forty minutes.”

Sophia cast a complicated glance at the special examination room, remaining silent for a moment. “Be gentle with him.”

The doctor nodded with a smile. “Rest assured. We advocate for patient autonomy. We only intervene when the patient shows no response.”

“Alright, I’ll leave it to you then.” With a heavy heart, Sophia turned to leave.

After watching Sophia leave, the doctor wore a cold smile as he headed towards the special examination room.

Ellinor and Balfour witnessed all of this through the crack in the door.

Ellinor could no longer stand by. “Mr. Howard, why did you pull me away? Didn’t you hear what Sophia is planning to do to him? I have to save him.”

Balfour put his hands on her shoulders. “We have to save him, but we can’t just barge in. We don’t know what’s happening inside, and it could be dangerous. Not only might we fail to save him, but you could get hurt too.”

Ellinor was beyond reasoning. “I don’t care anymore! Who knows what that crazy woman Sophia has planned?!”

“Sophia wants him and also wants to have his child, so she won’t harm him. Ellinor, calm down. I’m here; we’ll save him. He won’t be harmed.”

“But…”

Balfour pointed to the window of the storage room. “Look, the balcony outside is accessible. We could sneak in from there and check the situation first.”

Ellinor looked where Balfour was pointing. Indeed, there was a balcony outside the storage room, albeit covered in dust.

Better yet, the dust indicated that no one had been there in a while, making their mission less likely to be discovered.

Ellinor nodded. “What are we waiting for? Let’s go!”

She didn’t wait for him, striding towards the balcony, with Balfour closely following behind her.

In the special examination room.

Marcus was wheeled in by a nurse. After seeing the empty examination room with no equipment, a hint of wariness flashed in his eyes.

“What kind of examination are you preparing for me?”

The nurse pushed him next to a cabinet, handing him a glass of water with a smile. “Mr. Marcus, have some water first. Dr. Tam will be here soon to explain all the procedures.”

Marcus took the water and glanced at it. It was clear, colorless, and odorless. There was no sign of anything unusual.

But he remained cautious and did not drink.

The nurse stayed nearby, watching him. After noticing that he was not drinking the water, she then said with a smile, “Mr. Marcus, you should drink more water. There will be a urine test later. You need to hydrate to provide a sample.”

Marcus looked up at the nurse, noticing something off in her eyes.

Thank you for the reminder. I drank a lot of water before coming here, so I don’t need to drink more.
