Chapter 152
After passionately explaining her purpose, Sheila didn’t get a peep out of Theo, and her smile was starting to look a little frozen
Theo’s icy expression was enough to make anyone back off
She didn’t dare force a conversation, so she tried to ease the awkwardness by turning to Ida, who had come out to see Theo off
“Ms. Gipson, where’s my assistant? I need her to get something for me”
A hint of trouble flashed through Ida’s eyes. Adjusting her gold rimmed glasses, she replied calmly. “Ms. Mendoza, your assistant just left”
Sheila frowned in annoyance. “Left? Where did she go? She didn’t even wait for me to come back!”
Ida just gave a polite smile, showing no concern, “I really don’t know”
Sheila was already peeved that Ellinor was left alone to talk with Ida, and now she found out that she had left without a word. She was even more annoyed and immediately pulled out her phone to call Ellinor
Ida tried to stop her, but it was already too late.
Soon, Ellinor’s phone rang from inside the office….
Sheila was taken aback, “Ms. Gipson, my assistant’s phone is ringing inside your office. Isn’t she still in there?”
Ida looked a bit flustered and tried to cover it up with a smile, “Ms Mendoza, your assistant really did leave. Maybe she just forgot her phone.”
Theo remembered the architect, Moon, with the familiar eyes behind her face mask!
He seemed to realize something and turned to go back to the office
Ida stepped in front of the door, looking up at the customer, who wasn’t much taller than her, “What’s wrong, Mr. Blanchet? Did you forget something too?”
Theo replied coldly, “I have a new idea about the building design and need to talk to Moon again”
Ida chuckled. “Just let me know what you need, Mr. Blanchet, and I will pass it on to her”
Theo asked, “Why? Moon is inside, so why do I have to go through you? Are you afraid of something, Ms. Gipson?*
Ida quickly laughed it off, “You’ve got it all wrong, Mr. Blanchet. What could I possibly be hiding? Moon is our chief designer, and as you know, she’s having a severe allergic reaction. Her doctor has repeatedly advised her to rest. If she gets sick, not only will your order not be completed, but it will also affect our company! So, as a caring boss. I just hope Moon can rest as much as possible and not be disturbed”
Theo was stubborn, “I just have one question for Moon. It won’t take long. Please step aside, Ms. Gipson!”
Theo was clearly getting impatient.
ida frowned and stood her ground, “Mr. Blanchet, please don’t…
While these two were at a standoff, a crisp voice suddenly came from the side.
“I’m here“”
Upon hearing Ellinor’s voice, Theo and Ida both turned to look.
Ellinor strolled out from the left side of the office, even letting out a yawn.
Chase was trailing right behind her.
