The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 1506

Chapter 1506

Upon hearing this, Ellinor found a little comfort. She then asked, “What’s Sophia’s reason for summoning you here?”

A complex emotion flickered in Balfour’s eyes. How could he tell his sister that the man she had been waiting for for three years was just across the corridor? He had forgotten her and was living with another woman and the child stolen from her.

He just couldn’t tell her.

“Nothing really. It’s not like she invited me here. I happened to find out she was staying here, so out of curiosity, I found an excuse to check who she had returned to the country with.” Balfour responded casually.

Ellinor’s eyes deepened with curiosity. “Did you see anyone else in her suite?”

Balfour shook his head. “Apart from her, there was only a child wearing a mask. No one else was there.”

In reality, Balfour had not encountered Sophia. By the time she returned, he had already retreated to his own suite.

At that moment, Byran was waiting for the elevator, so he didn’t see him leave.

Ellinor’s brows were slightly furrowed. She didn’t doubt Balfour, but a hint of disappointment flashed in her clear eyes.

Then she pointed towards Byran, who was standing by the door. “Byran over there was all flustered, saying you might have strayed, and called me over to save you.” Byran, who had just begun to relax, froze.

Oh no…

Why would she do that?

Byran pulled a face, forcing out a nervous chuckle. “Bro, I really called Sis over because I was worried about you.”

Balfour shot him á cold glance. “I think you have too much free time. I was going to give you a few days off since you just came back, but it seems that’s not necessary anymore. You are to report to work first thing tomorrow!”

Byran pouted reluctantly. “Ah! Why? Bro, I haven’t had enough fun yet. Can’t it wait for a couple of days?”

Balfour sternly replied, “If I don’t see you at the office tomorrow morning, don’t bother coming home.”

Byran resigned to his fate with a sigh. “Alright, I got it. I’ll go. Is that enough?”

Seeing Byran, that pesky kid, receive his just desserts made Ellinor feel a little satisfied. She thought she shouldn’t have listened to Byran’s nonsense and left her

work to come here and mess around.

Balfour didn’t spare another glance at his troublesome brother. He turned back to his sister and gently said, “Since you’re here, why don’t we pick up the kids together and take them out for a meal?”

Ellinor checked the time. In an hour, the three little ones would be out of school. She nodded. “Sure.”

The kids quite liked their uncle. Seeing Balfour pick them up would undoubtedly make them happy.

Byran raised his hand, “Um… Can I come along? I haven’t had a good look at my niece and nephews yet.”

Both Balfour and Ellinor ignored him with a look of disdain.

Byran awkwardly scratched his head. Although his brother and sister had both glared at him, he knew that, without a clear refusal, there was still a chance for him to join.

After chatting for a while longer in the suite, they realized it was about time to leave for the kindergarten. So Balfour and Ellinor got up to leave.

Byran followed behind them, looking rather dejected.
