The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 1420

Chapter 1420

“Don’t worry, I won’t be a thorn in your side anymore.”

Byran uttered these words with a hardened expression. His fists clenched tightly, as if he had made a monumental decision.

Upon hearing this, Ida’s expression didn’t change, but after a moment, her lips curled slightly into a smirk. “That’s good to hear.”

Then, without another word, she stood up and returned to Ellinor’s hospital room.

Byran hung his head low, deflated like a punctured basketball, devoid of his usual vitality.

“What brings you here?”

After hearing his brother’s voice, Býran lifted his head.

Balfour had returned, and upon seeing his younger brother sitting by the door, he approached and asked sternly.

Byran responded in a dispirited tone. “I heard our sister was about to give birth, so I rushed over to check on her.”

Balfour frowned. He was afraid that his little brother would cause trouble. “Once you’ve seen her, go home. Get your stuff packed, and next week, I’ll have Quinton take you abroad.”

Byran nodded and then turned his gaze towards Ellinor’s room with a complex expression before standing up and leaving with a dejected air.

After seeing his brother off, Balfour entered Ellinor’s room.

Ellinor had fallen back into a deep sleep due to her weakness.

Upon seeing Balfour enter, Ida glanced at Ellinor, who was even frowning in her sleep. After confirming that she was still asleep, she asked, “Mr. Howard, any news of Theo?”

Balfour shook his head grimly. “No leads yet.”

Ida’s brow furrowed. Where on earth could Mr. Blanchet have taken their first child?!

Balfour looked at Ellinor, who lay sleeping deeply on the bed, and felt his emotions surge. “Did she ask anything else?”

Ida sighed and nodded. “She did, but she seems to have sensed something and did not press for more details.”

Balfour felt even more for his sister, and his expression darkened further.

Initially, for his sister’s sake, he had been ready to let go of the feud between their families and approve of the marriage, accepting Theo as his brother-in-law.

Now, with the current situation, he was utterly disappointed with Theo.

Once they found Theo, he needed to reconsider his sister’s future.

Won’t his sister’s life be in turmoil while living with such an unreliable man?

Three days passed, and Ellinor’s condition had significantly improved, and she could now move around.

Theo still hadn’t returned. His phone was unreachable, and he hadn’t replied to any messages.

Ellinor had asked Balfour several times, but he always evaded her questions, saying that Theo had important matters to attend to in M State, and while he was safe, it would be some time before he could return.

She didn’t know what important matters were keeping him from returning and didn’t want to understand, only understanding that he had broken his promise. He had clearly said he would return in three days. He even showed her his return ticket.

But in the end, it was nothing but an empty promise.

Apart from when she was with her child, Ellinor spent most of her time staring out of the hospital room window in silence, speaking very little as she lost herself in her thoughts.

This morning, Balfour had come to check on her before leaving.
