Chapter 1391
Ellinor sighed a bit. “Alright then, what song do you want to hear? I can play it for you, so our phone conversation won’t be too awkward or boring when we run out of things to talk about.”
Theo didn’t feel awkward or bored at all. Even just hearing her shallow breaths was good company and comfort to him.
“I want to hear ‘Through It Together.”;
Ellinor searched for the song title on her music player. After finding a lot of songs with the same name, she asked again, “Who sings this one?”
Theo replied, “Christopher.”
Ellinor found the song he was talking about and clicked play. The music started.
After listening for a bit, Ellinor suddenly felt a bit emotional. “I never really thought we had a big generation gap before, but now that I’m listening to this song that you requested, I really feel it. We’re not listening to music from the same era. Hahaha.”
The sound of Theo’s typing suddenly stopped. He paid attention to what she just said. “Are you saying I’m old again?”
Ellinor sighed. “Even if I think you’re old, there’s nothing I can do about it. It’s a fact that you’re older.”
Theo’s face suddenly turned serious, and the atmosphere in the car became heavy.
As an adult man, he didn’t care about a but in front of this young girl, he did mind that he was much older.
After noticing that Theo had stopped talking, Ellinor laughed. “Why aren’t you speaking? You’re not mad, are you?”
“No.”
Ellinor continued. “Although the song you chose is a bit old, it’s still pretty good, especially the lyrics. They’re very fitting.”
The lyrics to “Through It Together” were very well written and really fitting.
Theo didn’t reply to her but instead asked, “What do you like to listen to? Let me hear what you young people like.”
“You might not like the songs I like.”
“Not necessarily; play it and let’s hear.”
Ellinor then played a high-decibel rap song for him.
Theo was at a loss for words.
He really couldn’t appreciate this kind of noisy music.
The two of them continued to share music with each other and chatted every now and then, and before they knew it, three hours had passed.
The car arrived at Sophia’s father’s house, Thaddeus Manor.
After telling Ellinor, “I’m here,” Theo put the phone that was still on the call in his pocket and got out of the car.
Outside the manor gate, there were already people arranged by Thaddeus waiting for his arrival.
“Mr. Blanchet, we welcome your arrival. Our master had us waiting for you
Theo nodded slightly. “Take me to your master.”
“Of course, Mr. Blanchet, please follow me.”
The man bowed slightly, making a very polite gesture.
Theo, with his entourage, followed him into Thaddeus Manor.
Finally, he came to a huge gym and saw Thaddeus, who was working out.
Even though Thaddeus was old, he still kept in good shape. Strong people were often very disciplined.
The young man leading the way reported, “Sir, the Mr. Blanchet you’ve been waiting for is here.”
Thaddeus put down his dumbbell and began smiling while looking at Theo. “My son-in-law is here.
