The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 1390

Chapter 1390

Balfour began to admire his brother’s determination. “Get yourself ready. Once Ellinor has the baby, I’ll arrange for someone to take you abroad.”

“Deal! Thanks, bro.”

After nodding, Byran turned and headed upstairs, displaying an unprecedented level of resolve and gusto.

While watching his retreating figure, Balfour felt that his brother was finally growing up.

Inside the room, Ellinor was trying to put Baber to sleep while occasionally checking her phone. She knew Theo wouldn’t arrive soon, but she couldn’t resist.

Before she knew it, she’d dozed off too.

After waking up the next morning, there was still no message on her phone.

So she spent the whole day feeling restless.

It wasn’t until the evening that she received a call from Theo overseas.

“Ellinor, I’ve just landed. Did you have dinner?”

After hearing Theo’s voice, Ellinor felt a bit relieved.

“I already ate. What about you?”

It sounded like he was walking as he answered. “Yeah, I had airplane food.”

Airplane food tasted lousy, even in first class.

Even though she’d been waiting for his call all day, Ellinor didn’t have much to say.

“Remember to eat well. I’ve got to go now. I’ll bring you a gift when I get back.”

His primary reason for the call was to assure her of his safety; he still had other matters to attend to. Though reluctant, it wasn’t the time for a chat.

Hearing that Theo was about to hang up, Ellinor hurriedly said, “Wait!”

Theo’s tone rose. “Hmm? What’s up? Anything else you want to tell me?”

Ellinor cleared her throat. “Go ahead, but don’t hang up.”

“Don’t hang up?” Theo’s tone carried a subtle hint of amusement. “You’re worried about me, aren’t you?”

“Mmmm… I just want to make sure everything’s okay with you. Of course, if there’s something you don’t want me to know, you can hang up. I won’t call again!”

Theo laughed. “Do you think I want to hang up? As long as you don’t mind me bugging you, I’ll stay on the line.”

Feigning arrogance, Ellinor replied, “I don’t mind. So, are you heading straight to Sophia’s from the airport?”

Theo had just left the airport. Collin opened the car door for him, and he got in the car that had come to pick him up. “Yeah, they live quite far from the airport. It’ll take about three hours.”

“Oh, then you can take a nap in the car

As Theo checked his newly received emails on his laptop, he said, “No need. I already slept on the plane.”

Ellinor’s lips twitched into a smile. So she was going to have to find things to talk about for the next three hours, huh? She had no idea what to say.

So she grabbed a music player. “Pick a song.”

Theo sounded a bit surprised. “Really? Are you going to sing for me?”

Ellinor laughed awkwardly. “You misunderstood. I’m going to play a song for you, not sing for you. My performances aren’t free, and they’re quite pricey, actually.”

Theo raised an eyebrow. “Oh? How much for a song? Can I afford it?”

Ellinor chuckled. “I’m not taking offers right now, and even if I did, you wouldn’t be able to afford it. If you want to hear me sing, come find me when you get back. Pay me in person, and I’ll start singing.”

Theo laughed as he chided her. “You’re such a gold-digger!”
