The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 1349

Chapter 1349

Chase took a long, hard look at her and then remained silent.

Meanwhile, in the front row.

Ida had raised the partition between the front and back rows, but the soundproofing was lousy. She heard every word the two in the back were saying.

Served Chase right!

She pulled out a box of fancy ladies’ cigarettes from her pocket, took one out, and was about to light it up when the car door abruptly opened.

Byran stomped in and snatched the cigarette right out of her hand.

Ida frowned. “What the hell are you doing?”

Byran, with a stern look, said, “I don’t like you smoking.”

Ignoring him, Ida took out another cigarette, only for Byran to snatch it again.

“Ladies shouldn’t smoke!”

Ida was getting annoyed.

“Who are you to tell me what to do?”

Byran solemnly said, “If I don’t, then who will? I’m your boyfriend!”

Ida chuckled. “Don’t flatter yourself. I never rejected you, but I never agreed to be your girlfriend either.”

Byran scowled, “What are you blabbering about? I am your boyfriend; we’ve been intimate.”

Ida adjusted her glasses. “I’ve been intimate with more than just you; are they all my boyfriends?”

She took out another cigarette, dodging Byran’s hand in anticipation, lit it, took a drag, and then blew a puff of smoke at Byran.

“Listen, kiddo, if you can’t handle the heat, then don’t play the game. It’s not fun when feelings get involved.”

Byran frowned. “I’m not playing games with you!”

Ida smirked and took another puff. “But I’ve been playing games with you.”

Byran gritted his teeth in disbelief. “You’re talking nonsense! You said you liked me.”

Ida scoffed. “Of course, I like you! Who wouldn’t like a young man’s body? But you’re not the only one I like. I like all young men.”

Byran was furious. “You…”

Ida, puffing on her cigarette, glanced at Balfour’s commercial vehicle in the distance. “Didn’t Balfour try to stop you from coming here?”

“Even if he did, it wouldn’t matter. I can listen to him, but not when it comes to you. Ida, don’t worry about my family not approving us. Ellinor is my sister. She will help us. Ellinor has a lot of influence over Balfour; as long as she agrees, he won’t object.”

Ida took a drag nonchalantly.

“Even if your family agrees, I’m not marrying you, kid. Don’t overthink it.”

Byran was angry, but more importantly, hurt.

“Why? Why won’t you marry me?”

Ida looked at him through the smoke, not entirely serious. “Because I haven’t had enough fun playing games.”

Byran gritted his teeth; he’d never been treated so flippantly. But in the end, he managed to keep his cool. He took a deep breath and said, “Then I’ll wait until you’ve had enough. It’s no problem. I’m young, and I have plenty of time to wait for you.”

Ida paused for a moment and then looked at Byran thoughtfully. “Why do you like me?”

Byran snorted. “I have no idea.”

Ida smirked. “You express your affection so boldly without knowing what it is you like about me? Maybe you’re just not thinking straight.”

Byran muttered angrily, “You’re the one who’s not thinking straight. I’m perfectly clear-headed.”
