The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 1323

Chapter 1323

Even though that guy really kicked the bucket, what did it have to do with her?

She was done with him.

She tossed the leaflet, didn’t linger, and quickly turned to head back into her house..

The two servants saw her hurrying and couldn’t help but worry. They immediately started calling after her.

“Ms. Mendoza, slow down! Watch your step; don’t fall…”

“Ms. Mendoza…”

Ellinor, huffing and puffing, rushed into the living room, where Balfour was on the couch, checking Byran’s homework.

She strode over to him and asked straight out, “Is Theo’s death for real?”

Upon hearing Ellinor’s words, Balfour looked up. His face froze, and he asked with furrowed brows. “Who told you?”

After seeing Balfour’s reaction and connecting it to recent strange happenings, including Sophia’s afternoon visit, she was sure the news on the leaflet was true.

Her eyes turned bloodshot as she demanded, “Why didn’t you tell me?!”

Balfour, looking gloomy, stood up and slowly approached Ellinor. “Ellinor, I didn’t mean to hide it from you. I just worried it would upset you.”

Not wanting to hear him out, Ellinor shoved Balfour away. “Back off! I need some air!”

With that, she turned to leave.

Balfour reached out and grabbed Ellinor’s wrist. “Ellinor, what’s done is done. You going out won’t change anything. Cool down, didn’t you say you wanted nothing to do with Theo?”

Ellinor’s mind was a whirl. Her chest ached as if she were being cut with a blunt knife. “But I never thought he’d die!”

Balfour frowned and looked at Ellinor with concern. “Ellinor, calm down.”

Right now, Ellinor was in no mood for advice. She tried to pull her wrist out of Balfour’s grip. “Let me go! Lend me a car! I need to go

out!”

“Ellinor, you’re expecting and are very close to your due date! You have to think about the baby, too! Think about it, if Theo is really gone, your baby is the only bloodline he left in this world. Do you really want to risk it?”

After hearing this, Ellinor paused and began slowly quieting down.

Balfour gently pulled Ellinor into his arms, patting her gently again and again. “It’s okay. Be good and stay at home. Don’t go anywhere.”

Ellinor’s eyes were full of tears; her gaze was firm but unfocused. Her voice was low but trembling. “Tell me, who caused his death?”

At this point, Balfour didn’t want to hide anything from Ellinor anymore. “From what I know, Theo’s father led a complicated private life. He had an illegitimate son who probably wanted to kill Theo and take his place.

Theo’s father was a playboy in his youth, fathering many children with many women.

Theo had to learn from an early age to deal with the threats posed by his half-brothers. Each of them was hoping for his early demise so that they could have a shot at the Blanchet family’s inheritance.

Ellinor knew nothing about the Blanchet family’s internal affairs. This was the first time she heard about it.

She had wondered why only Marissa and Putnam from the Blanchet family ever showed up and why Theo never mentioned his parents, but she never asked him.

All of a sudden, Balfour felt Ellinor in his arms lose balance and collapse onto him. He looked down to find Ellinor’s eyes closed. “Ellinor? Ellinor! Ellinor…”

Unable to wake Ellinor, Balfour realized that something was wrong.

“Quick, call an ambulance! No, don’t bother with an ambulance. Get a car here now! Take Ellinor to the nearest hospital!”

Byran, who had been standing by dumbfounded, also panicked. After snapping back to reality, he ran to get the driver.
