Ida didn’t tell him outright, but she didn’t lie either. When he asked, she copped to it.
Byran stared blankly at Ida’s message on his phone as his hand slightly shook.
Ellinor noticed Byran’s weird vibe. “What’s up with you?”
Byran acted like he didn’t hear her and awkwardly rubbed his red and swollen eyes. “Nah, nothing!”
Ellinor squinted at him and noticed that he was trying to hold back tears. “What on earth are you doing? Got dumped by Ida, didn’t you?” Byran realized he was a terrible actor and turned his face away. “Nope! I’ve gotta hit the books for the exam; I’m going to study!”
With that, he bolted up the stairs.
Ellinor was left in a state of confusion.
Balfour chimed in. “Just let it slide. He’s always up and down like that.”
Ellinor furrowed her brow, wondering if that was really the case.
“By the way, Ellinor, I ordered some stuff for your delivery. It should be here soon. Check it out and see if you like it. If anything’s missing, just let me know.”
“I’ve got all I need. You better cancel the order before the stuff gets here, Mr. Howard!”
Balfour disagreed. “What you got is yours, and what I got for you is out of my good will. The more, the merrier. It’ll come in handy.”
Ellinor knew Balfour wouldn’t back down. He didn’t want to waste her breath, so she let it go.
She’d just pay him back when she transferred the money later.
At the time, Sophia was dragged to the corner by the Howard family’s servants and then let go.
Looking at the formidable servants of the Howard family, Sophia realized that if she went back, she’d definitely be dragged back again. But she didn’t want to miss such a golden opportunity.
This was her best shot to cause trouble for Ellinor’s baby..
Before, she couldn’t do anything to Ellinor’s belly without leaving traces.

So she even considered raising the baby with Theo once it was born. After all, Theo had an adopted child anyway.

This child was Theo’s biological child and Marissa’s and Putnam’s first grandchild. His status might threaten her and Theo’s future children.
Sophia stopped at the intersection and thought of a solution to her problem for a long time. She made up her mind and headed straight for an advertising shop on the roadside.
The clerk-saw her and asked, “Can I help you with something, miss?”
Sophia replied, “I need to print some leaflets. When can you get them done at the earliest?”
