The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 1283

Chapter 1283

Theo’s expression was unreadable, but from his eyes, she could tell that he had no intention of letting her go.

“You’d rather beg than have a proper chat with me, huh?”

Ellinor furrowed her brows. “Where am I not communicating properly with you? Weren’t you the one who asked me to beg?!”

Theo sneered “When did you become such a goody two-shoes? When I told you to stay home nicely, you didn’t follow my instructions, did you?”

Ellinor was left speechless, feeling utterly confused. Other than glaring at him, she didn’t know how else to express her discontentment. She couldn’t break free from his grasp, nor could she escape his control.

After seeing her all huffy, the resentment in Theo’s heart surprisingly faded away. He reached out and gently pinched her chubby cheek. “You’ve gotten chubby, but why are you still so adorable?”

Ellinor was at a loss for words.

Why was he suddenly complimenting her again?

She retorted. “Don’t think that just by calling me cute, I will forgive you!”

Theo raised an eyebrow. “Then what should I do to earn your forgiveness?”

He caught her off guard. Ellinor stared into Thed’s deep and emotionally complex eyes, feeling a bit dazed.

What she said about not forgiving him was about his act of forcibly holding onto her.

But the forgiveness Theo was seeking seemed to cover a broader scope.

Forgiveness?

How could she possibly forgive this liar?

Ellinor’s tight-lipped silence caused Theo to move in closer as his forehead lightly touched hers. “Tell me, what do I have to do for you to forgive me?”

Ellinor’s heart jolted. She quickly pulled back to avoid his touch. “Don’t touch me!”

Theo didn’t move any closer, he just watched her quietly. His gaze was both dominant and humble. He awaited her judgment obediently, which made Ellinor feel a bit sorry for him.

But the moment the word “pity” popped up in her mind, Ellinor snapped back to her senses. What was she thinking?

If she felt pity for this man, she deserved to be miserable.

“Mr. Blanchet, please stop making these bizarre gestures and saying these nonsensical words. Let go of me!”

Theo frowned. “Then first tell me, why did you leave me?”

Why did she leave him?

He actually had the nerve to ask that?

Ellinor glared at him. “Because I have my principles; there are things I cannot accept! And you, you did something I can’t accept! Why did I leave you? Are you joking?”

Theo’s gaze was deep. “Is it because of the marriage certificate Sophia and I processed abroad?”

Ellinor snorted. “Since you already know, why are you still asking me?”

“Things are not as you think. Why did you leave without asking me?”

Ellinor wanted to laugh. “Mr. Blanchet, your memory really isn’t great. I did ask you, but you didn’t tell me the truth!”

“You asked me? When did you ask?”

“I asked if you were hiding anything from me, and you said no!”

Theo sighed deeply. “That marriage certificate was to deal with my grandfather. It was processed before we met. I originally planned to have Sophia come over to help me handle my grandfather, but her flight was delayed that day, and I met you. There’s nothing else between Sophia and me.”

Ellinor found his explanation a bit laughable.

‘Regardless of your reasons, you’ve deceived me. I don’t think anything you say now will make any difference. Let me go!”
