The Kiss That Sparked it All Chapter 1260

Chapter 1260

Belinda was already stressed out from facing Chase, and then he pulled this stunt!

Belinda was troubled. “What the heck are you doing? Aren’t we just having lunch?”

Chase sat opposite her. His handsome face was lit up by the dim candlelight as he propped his chin up with a grin on his face. “Exactly! Can’t lunch be a bit romantic?”

Belinda twitched her lips. “Maybe in the past, I would have found this romantic. But now, I just find it incredibly awkward.”

Chase smiled. “Why? Because you have a boyfriend now?”

Belinda frowned, and soon she had a stern look on her face. “Yes! Having a candlelit dinner with another man behind my boyfriend’s back is totally inappropriate and extremely awkward!”

Chase didn’t care; he even seemed a bit smug. “If you didn’t have feelings for me, you wouldn’t feel awkward. So it means you still have feelings for me. Nice!”

Belinda’s face turned sour; her mood was darkening. “Mr. Larios, to be honest, you’re crossing the line! My affection for you is plummeting. Show some respect, will you?”

Chase leaned on his hand and chuckled. “Plummeting? That means there’s room to drop, which means your initial affection was high and hasn’t dropped to zero, right?”

Belinda was speechless.

She couldn’t stand him anymore!

Lunch was ruined; she couldn’t swallow a bite!

She ignored Chase and dialed Theo’s number.

“Theo, where are you?”

A cool, deep voice came from the other end. “I’m on the road.”

Belinda asked. “Are you on your way to or from the company?”

Theo asked. “What’s up?”

-“I want you to pick me up so we can go deliver lunch to Ellinor together. You can also take this opportunity to clear up the

misunderstandings between you two. She’s still popular even though she’s pregnant. You better act fast or she might run off with someone else.”.

Before she could finish, the call was hung up.

Belinda stiffened and frowned.

Theo was so annoying! Why didn’t he let her finish?

Chase watched her and laughed. “So, you tried to get your uncle to rescue you but failed?”

Belinda snapped back, glaring at him. “You know this, so why even ask?”

She did want Theo to come pick her up; only then would Chase stop bothering her.

If she left now, she probably wouldn’t make it out. She wouldn’t be able to escape Chase’s control without finishing this meal.

Chase grinned triumphantly. “Since you know you can’t escape, just eat with me. After we eat, I will, naturally, let you leave.”

Belinda huffed. She did want to eat, but so far, only the appetizers had been served.

Prior to this, she had eaten all the appetizers to ease the awkward situation.

Just as Belinda was about to put down her phone, it started vibrating again. It was a call from Jacob, so she answered.

“Jacob?”

“Belinda, where are you?”

Belinda glanced guiltily at Chase across from her. “I’m at a restaurant. What’s up? Haven’t you started your meeting yet?”

Jacob replied with a goofy smile. “I took a leave! Since I told you about the meeting, I’ve been feeling anxious. I felt guilty for making

you run a useless errand, and I couldn’t concentrate on the meeting in this state, so I just said I had something at home and took a leave. Belinda, which restaurant are you at? I’ll come find you!”

“Uh… I…”
