Chapter 1225
Ellinor was eating absentmindedly, not bothering to reach for food beyond what was right in front of her.
The two dishes in front of her were ordered by Belinda. They were not exactly her favorites, but she didn’t care much.
Belinda was also lost in her thoughts, constantly checking the time on her phone, anxious about why Veronica hadn’t brought Marissa
yet.
Jacob slid a chicken wing onto her plate. “What’s on your mind? Why aren’t you eating?”
Snapping back to reality, Belinda gave Jacob a forced smile. “Uh… nothing!”
If Veronica didn’t bring Marissa soon, Ellinor would finish her steak and surely make an excuse to leave.
Ellinor was indeed about to finish her meal; this dinner seemed to drag on forever.
To slow Ellinor down, Belinda casually added some green veggies to her bowl. “Ellinor, you should eat more veggies; you need to keep your nutrition up!”
Ellinor pursed her lips. “Thanks.”
Without giving it much thought, she accepted Belinda’s kindness and was about to pop a few slices of carrot into her mouth.
But they were intercepted mid-air by someone else’s fork!
Startled, Ellinor looked up. “What’s the matter?”
She was a bit annoyed; dinner was already a drag, and surely Theo wasn’t about to cause trouble again, right?
Theo frowned, his tone icy. “I can understand if others don’t know, but you should at least remember what you’re allergic to, right?”
Ellinor was speechless.
She looked down at the carrot on her fork and remembered that she was allergic to carrot.
She’d seen it on her allergy report, but she usually didn’t pay much attention to it. A small amount wouldn’t cause a reaction.
But she didn’t expect Theo to remember her allergies.
Did he memorize her allergy report?
Her heart skipped a beat at the thought, but she quickly reminded herself that she was overthinking.
Even if he did remember a few of her allergies, it was only because he was concerned about the baby in her belly, so he wouldn’t let her eat anything she was allergic to.
The more Theo cared about the baby, the more uneasy she felt.
He was right. If he wanted to take the baby, he didn’t necessarily have to go through legal means, and she definitely wouldn’t stand a
chance.
Perhaps because of her annoyance and unwillingness to be controlled, Ellinor ignored Theo’s warning, dodged his fork, and stubbornly ate the carrot slice.
She knew her body best; a couple of carrot slices wouldn’t harm her. She didn’t need his interference.
However, the next moment, she saw Theo’s face darken. He grabbed her chin, stopped her from chewing, and forcibly opened her mouth to take out the carrot.
Feeling very uncomfortable, Ellinor coughed lightly. “Cough, cough. What…what are you doing? Are you out of your mind?”
