Ellinor gave Sophia a casual glance. “I’m being honest here, but I can’t take off my hat and mask. I’m sorry about that.”
Sophia chuckled, feeling a bit confused. “Why not?”
Ellinor bluntly said, “Cause I’m not a looker, I don’t want to scare you off.”
Sophia was taken aback. “What does it matter? We won’t be scared! You’re a designer with such brilliant talents that your skills outshine everything else. Who cares about looks? How about taking it off so we can get to know you better?”
Ellinor didn’t want to keep arguing with Sophia and tried to make her exit. But before she could say her goodbyes, Theo made a very loud request. “Take off your hat and mask!” Ellinor was stunned.
“Mr. Blanchet, our business is officially over. I don’t think I’m obliged to fulfill any of your demands other than work-related ones. Sorry, but I have to go. I have things to do at home.”
With that, she tried to turn and leave.
However, a strong hand grabbed her wrist tightly, and a commanding voice sounded in her ear. “Take them off!”
Ellinor sucked in a breath of cold air. It seemed she wouldn’t be able to get away today.
She turned her head and looked at Theo with displeasure. “We used to work together, and I can’t believe you would doubt me like this. Do you need to see my face to be satisfied?”
Theo’s sharp eyes were fixed on her. “What are you afraid of? Why don’t you dare face me with your real face? Who are you really?”
He remembered that the first time he saw Moon was at the Crescent Society.
Ellinor was also at the Crescent Society at that time, but she and Moon never appeared together.
After thinking of Ellinor’s relationship with Ida and Chase, a surprising idea flashed through Theo’s mind.
Could Ellinor and Moon be the same person?
So did the Crescent Society initially refuse to let Moon attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony because they were afraid he would discover the truth?

Theo felt like he had found a beam of light in the darkness. He didn’t know whether to feel overjoyed or furious.

Ellinor couldn’t free her wrist. His grip was hurting her. She was no fool. She realized that he must have noticed something. “Fine! Since you are so eager to see my face, I’ll take off my hat and mask. But first, would you mind letting go of my hand?”
Theo thought for a few seconds and then signaled his staff to block all escape routes before finally letting go of her hand.
Ellinor shook her numb wrist and spoke with obvious displeasure. “I want to make it clear that by disrespecting my privacy and forcing me to take off my hat and mask, from now on, I will never work with the Blanchet Corporation again!”
Theo didn’t seem to care about her warning and simply raised an eyebrow. “Please do.”
Ellinor had no choice but to take off her hat first, letting her long hair flow down.
Then she slowly reached for the straps of her mask. She seemed reluctant to take it off.
Theo’s gaze was oppressive as his eyes filled with a simmering rage.
