Chapter 104
Amold and Tracy both looked out of the car window when they heard Sheila’s surprised voice
Tracy said, ‘Amold look, that’s Ellinor! I think that’s her boyfriend with her Can you believe a gut like Ellinor is out gallivanting around with a man this late? That doesn’t look good, does 117”
Amold frowned in displeasure. For one, his daughter Ellinor was out late with a man, which was improper Secondly, he saw Ellinor and the guy heading for the subway
entrance
From their angle, all they could see was the man’s back or profile, his face was totally hidden.
But they all came to the same conclusion about him.
He’s broke
Sheila sighed with feigned concem, “Dad, why has Ellinor picked a boyfriend who still takes the subway! She’s not getting any wiser The guys mom introduced to her all had cars and houses!”
Tracy chimed in, sighing with a victimized air. “Oh well, what Ellinor likes matters most! I think the guy is pretty tall and probably handsome too. I’m just worried he might be too poor to treat Ellinor well”
“How can a Mendoza girl marry such a guy? It’s so embarrassing!”
Amold huffed in annoyance.
Earlier today, he proudly accompanied Sheila to sign a contract with a big company and had a few drinks with the manager. But now he felt disappointed to see Ellinor’s
state
Sheila and her mother, Tracy, exchanged a smile. In their minds, Ellinor was just fit for a subway–riding poor guy.
Inside the subway station.
As Ellinor was buying tickets at the automatic ticket machine, Theo stood behind her, watching her operate the machine.
After buying her own ticket, Ellinor turned and left without even glancing at him.
Standing in front of the machine. Theo followed the prompts a few times, then frowned.
Although it was his first time taking the subway, he wasn’t so clueless as to not know how to use the ticket machine. The main problem was that he wasn’t familiar with the routes and didn’t know which direction to buy the ticket for
Looking around. Ellinor had long disappeared.
The people lining up behind him were starting to get anxious, urging, “Have you bought it yet? Can you operate the machine or not?”
Theo turned around, and his cold and imposing aura shocked the nagging lady behind him into silence. She wisely chose to line up elsewhere.
Not wanting to delay others. Theo stepped aside, took out his phone, and called Collin, “Which direction should I buy the ticket for?”
Collin was dumbfounded
He didn’t take the subway either, he had no ideal
“Just hold on, I’ll look it up right away!”
Theo responded with a stern face
Just then, a woman’s laughter came from behind him.
He turned around and saw Ellinor leaning against a pillar, watching him and laughing heartily, saying. “Is this your first time at a subway station?”
Theo was expressionless and didn’t reply.
Ellinor continued to laugh “Considering you paid for the get–together, I’ll treat you to a subway ride! Let’s go!”
With that, she threw a subway card at him like a dart
Theo reached out and caught it, taking a quick look at the card between his fingers
So she had bought his ticket along with hers?
She had intentionally hidden to laugh at him
Theo wasn’t angry and chuckled lightly as Ellinor walked in
In a while, Collin called back, ‘I found it! You should buy
“No need”
Theo hung up before he could finish
