The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage Chapter 1140

“Heh.”

Frank snorted fearlessly despite Sif’s threat, even grabbing her thighs.

“What are you doing-argh!!!”

Sif actually thought for a moment that Frank would force himself on her, only for Frank to break her legs with relative ease, leaving her with heartrending agony.

“You’re not getting away now,” Frank smiled sinisterly, flashing his bright white teeth.

Sif finally understood fear in that instant even as she was left sprawled on the floor.

She watched as Frank left her and walked toward Vicky, intent on cursing him, but she was in too much pain to do so.

All she could think just then was that Frank was far more powerful than she thought, and barely a handful of individuals in her family could take him down… And that she could not die here yet!

Gritting her teeth, she started crawling toward the stairs with all her strength, bolstered by the thought that she must escape.

And once she did…

On the other hand, Frank had cut Vicky loose and relocated her arm.

“Frank…” Vicky threw her arms around him, not bothered by the agony on her arm and face as she hugged the man she yearned for most. “I’m so sorry…”

“It’s alright. Everything’s fine as long as you’re safe.” Frank sighed as he returned her embrace.

“Did Sif do this to you?” he then asked as he held her cheeks, pain showing all over his eyes.

She was so beautiful!

Even if Vicky would never see it, she was secretly competitive with Helen as women often were.

As such, the gruesome gashes over Vicky’s face left Frank’s repressed rage flaring again.

Being disfigured for a woman with Vicky’s pride could well be irreversible trauma, and his knuckles clenched at the very thought.

“Frank…”

Vicky, however, did not seem to care and actually tried to smile despite her gruesome face.

Her effort only tore apart the scabs over her cheeks, and she started bleeding again.

“Oh., don’t worry about it. Let’s just get out of here already,” she said and ran to the couch to pick up her voice recorder, sighing in relief when she checked the contents and saw that Sif did not delete anything.

That was when she heard a sigh. “Hmm… I’d rather not meddle, but…”

Suddenly, a man with a split mustache appeared beside Vicky, moving as fast as lightning.

Frank did not even have time to

react when he snatched the voice recorder out of Vicky’s hand and

caught her by the neck with a single

hand.

“I’m afraid you can’t have that, or things would get troublesome if the mayor learns of our… ambition.” Damon Lionheart chuckled.

When Frank got a good look, his heart skipped a beat.

The man was at peak Ascendant rank-a tried and true martial elite!

“Frank Lawrence, was it?” Damon leveled a nonchalant look at Frank. “Why don’t we put this mess behind us? I will release Vicky Turnbull, but you must keep your nose out of Lionheart business and refrain from assisting the Turnbulls any further. How about that?”
