The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage Chapter 1058

Helen opened the folder in front of Mr. Zork, leaving him gaping. “There. Security photos of you in the act.”

How could Helen have found out?!

This was top secret, and Owen was the only one who could have known since Mr. Zork reported his expenses to him!

As such, Mr. Zork was leveling a death glare at Owen too, his eyes almost shooting flames.

“Naturally, the biggest problem our company has is you, Mr. Kallum Gaetz. As acting CFO, you’ve really set a new bar in corruption.”

Helen strode behind Kallum and slammed a document on the table in front of him, saying quietly, “Every yearly ledger showed profits… that is, before it gets passed to you for review. Afterward, everything will be in the red, and the Lane family would have to pay up for it… If anything, I must admit that you have balls.”

Then, clapping Kallum on the shoulder, Helen finished, “Either way, I’ve reviewed the ledgers over the last few years. If you have any questions, you may ask them now.”

Kallum’s eyes were narrowed, while beads of sweat trickled down his face.

Caught in disbelief, he picked up the document, and he was soon turning pale and sweating even more once he read it.

And it was just the start.

As Helen looked around, none of the other board members dared to meet her eyes, since they were more or less involved.

However, Helen was merciless and continued to elaborate on each of their crimes and everything they had done while holding their current positions.

Included in the list were bribery, embezzling company capital, nepotism, establishing cliques, ousting senior figures in the company, and having sexual liaisons in the office.

Helen strode around the meeting

table, stopping by each board member and listing out precisely

what crimes they had done. If they argued, she would slam solid

evidence right in front of their faces, silencing them.

Eventually, she stopped beside Owen, the head of accounting.

“As for you, Mr. Briggs…” Helen smiled faintly. “You’re actually different since you didn’t actually actively break company laws… but you’re still culpable, if not the worst of everyone here. And I’m sure you know why.”

“Y-Yes…” Owen was on the verge of tears, his heart almost giving out because the other board members were all glaring at him spitefully.

After all Owen was the only one who had dirt on everyone in the company, but he also felt indignant-how could he have ratted them out? He had never met Helen before!

That was just how amazing she is, revealing stuff even Owen himself did not know about, presenting concrete evidence to back up everything she said.

Nonetheless, Helen walked up to

him and said quietly, “Mr. Briggs, am still in need of your services. So I wonder which you’d prefer-keeping your job or rotting in jail? Or maybe… suffering their revenge?”

“I-I’ll keep my job,” Owen gulped.

He was just an accountant and not a schemer, not to mention that he really had no choice when he was facing pressure from all sides!

The conference room was once again silent, and the board members were no longer as pompous as before.
