Chapter 1034
Clark was trembling in fear even as he looked at Frank’s smile. The man could kill without flinching, and he looked no different from the reaper. While Clark had himself been involved in murder and other felony, it had never been one-sided like it was with Frank.
It certainly left him traumatized…
“S-Stay where you are!” he bellowed, whipping out a dagger out of nowhere as he grabbed Luna and pressed the dagger against her throat. “Or I’ll kill her!”
Even as Clark’s blade broke skin and drew blood, Frank was shrugging at his meek threat. “Did you really think I’d care if she lives?”
Luna turned pale as she trembled endlessly, her speech unintelligible even as she begged Frank for help. “P-Please… Save me…”
“Hey now.” Frank snorted, shaking his head and continuing toward Clark. “You really shouldn’t ask me for anything, Luna-you know better than anyone what you’ve done to me and Helen. Also, you’re the one who set this trap and willingly fell into it. Can’t blame anyone for that, don’t you think?!”
“D-Didn’t you hear me?!” Clark kept yelling in panic even as he backed away. “If you take another step, I will-“
“What? Kill her?” Frank smiled nonchalantly and kept walking toward Clark, even goading him. “Go on, do it! You’d spare me so much effort if you do it. After I killed you, I’d just have to tell your family that you killed her. I’d even tell them I did my best, but… Hehe.”
“Fuck you, Frank Lawrence!” Luna finally managed a complete sentence-not to beg for help, but to curse him.
Even as Frank’s gaze darkened at Luna’s outburst, Clark could see that he was not affecting Frank at all.
“Fuck! You’re all crazy!” he exclaimed and threw Luna at Frank as he turned to run.
“Now you’re running? Don’t you think it’s too late?” Frank chuckled.
He sidestepped Luna, allowing her to drop painfully on the ground.
Even Luna teared up, Frank was already in front of Clark. “What…”
Clark gaped when he saw Frank apparate before him.
He swung his dagger at Frank, but Frank simply broke his arm with a punch.
“Argh!”
Even as Clark screamed, Frank kicked him in the left kneecap, breaking it with a loud crunch.
Dropping to a crouch in front of the man, he leaned closed at Clark’s face in amusement. “What, weren’t you all so gung ho about messing with my girl? Go on, do it!”
Clark was screaming as if it alleviated his pain and quickly shook his head. “N-No… Please! We wont do it again… Just let me go…”
“Now that’s a good boy.” Frank smiled and nodded and left to fetch Gable.
Though he had his leg sliced off, Gable had managed to crawl to his car, even opening the door!
