Chapter 1006
It was natural for martial elites like lo to accumulate considerable wealth. As such, her sister Mel had been lusting after it, demanding Nash to give her everything.
Nash would comply, giving up his wife’s fortune willingly.
Even though Mel and her son Matis were living like kings, Nash was not bothered-all he cared about was Kat. However, his compromising eventually got Mel so greedy that she demanded every last bit.
“Get out, or I’m counting down from three,” Frank growled, holding up three fingers as he moved to stand beside Kat.
“What, you think you can stop us?!” Matis bellowed. “Go on! Break his legs!”
His bodyguards lunged at Frank even before he counted down, just as Kat sprang her feet as well.
“Master Lawrence! I can deal with these two. You take care of those three!” she cried, determined even as she wiped away her tears. “I’ve been giving my dad too much trouble, so I’m going to protect him with my own hands today!”
And with a battlecry, she leapt toward the two towering bodyguards she had no chance of winning.
“See?” Frank smiled at Nash as he watched the other three bodyguards charge at him. “The kid will grow up-eventually.”
Nash appeared stunned for a moment but soon beamed.
“Eat this… Skyrush Jab!” Kat bellowed just then, her punch launching one of the bodyguards like a missile into a rack of medical equipment. Both Matis and Mel looked on in shock, with Matis exclaiming, “What?! She’s a martial artist?!”
At the same time, the three bodyguards who were charging at Frank earlier saw what happened to their colleague and promptly turned to run at Kat instead.
Frank, however, was suddenly standing between them and Kat like a ghost.
“Hey. It’s me you’re fighting.” He grinned and sent one of them screaming and rolling out of the ward with a punch.
“What?!” Mel was grimacing as Frank and Kat stood together, assuming the same martial stance.
Frank was even calmly lecturing Kat. “You’re using too much vigor for one punch. Half of it will do.”
“I-I was angry, y’know? I couldn’t help it,” Kat Stuck her tongue out at him mischievously. “Well, at least you’re willing to teach me now.”
Frank sighed exasperatedly and demonstrated by fighting the two oncoming bodyguards, while Kat dealt with the last one.
Dull cracks resounded as knuckles met flesh, and soon, all three burly bodyguards were floored and unconscious.
“Phew… Phew…”
Kat had to keep her head down to pant before looking up at Matis and growling icily, “Get out of here, or I’m just getting started!”
Matis was left seething even as he stared at the bodyguards laying strewn around the floor, knowing that he had failed.
He was convinced that they could get through to Nash today and brought those bodyguards just for insurance.
