“If you think you can wait up, then go ahead, but I don’t know what time I will be back,” Callum said harshly.
His words made her pale face regain its rosiness. Her originally pitiful expression was replaced by one of joy. “I will wait for you no matter how late it is!” She flashed a smile the moment she finished.
The smile on her swollen cheeks was still so stupid, yet he was somehow captivated by it.
At night, Callum closed his eyes and lay on the bed. However, he wasn’t feeling sleepy, as his mind filled with Lillian’s voice and smile.
His butler, Dave, arranged for her bedroom to be next to his.
Inexplicably, the thought of her sleeping next door somehow unsettled his mind. Suddenly, the door to his room was gently pushed open and someone tiptoed in. “The only person who dares to enter my room at this time can only be Lillian!”

“Callum, are you asleep?”
Callum closed his eyes without saying a word and pretended to be asleep in an attempt to get her to leave.
Lillian walked to Callum’s bedside, holding a pregnancy pillow in her arms.
