The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 971

Chapter 971

The Youngblood family deliberately blocked the news to prevent the two children from knowing about the accident. They also took Guillermo, Jennifer, and Felix back to the manor, wanting them to stay there for a few days. The children were told the kindergarten needed renovation and would be closed for a few days.

Even though there was no need for any renovation at the kindergarten, the Youngblood family had their ways to make it happen.

However, Guillermo broke through the internet blockade in the manor and discovered news about the building explosion, realizing his parents were both in the hospital.

After learning the truth, Guillermo insisted on going to the hospital to see his parents.

When Jennifer found out, she followed Guillermo’s lead and packed her small backpack. She claimed she wanted to go to the hospital to take care of their parents.

Gary was left to deal with the two little troublemakers at the manor but eventually had to consult Jonathan about bringing the children to the hospital.

Jonathan looked at Rosalie, clearly seeking her opinion.

“Well, let them come. If we don’t let them come, they’ll probably keep causing trouble,” Rosalie said. At this point, she no longer needed to type on her phone and could engage in some conversation.

However, the conversation had to be kept short.

After ending the call, Rosalie looked at Jonathan and said, “But look at us. Won’t we scare them?” “It’s time for them to realize the danger. Even if they are the young master and miss of the Youngblood family, it is impossible to avoid all the danger,” Jonathan said.

“Aren’t you afraid that they will cry?” Rosalie asked.

“Isn’t it normal for children to cry and throw tantrums? There’s nothing to be afraid of,” Jonathan said.

However, when their two kids finally arrived and were in front of them, Rosalie witnessed Jonathan contradicting himself.

Upon seeing her injured parents, especially Jonathan, who was connected to an IV, Jennifer burst into tears. She cried profusely. Her tears flowed freely as if there was no tomorrow.

Jonathan, who was initially composed, was at a loss when he saw Jennifer crying.

As the head of Youngblood Group, he usually remained unfazed when making big decisions. However, at that moment, he found himself uncertain how to stop Jennifer’s tears. He did not know what to do other than help her wipe her tears while assuring her he was fine and would heal quickly.

Jonathan felt his heart wrench as his daughter, Jennifer, with her striking resemblance to Rosalie, cried profusely.

After some time, Jonathan finally managed to stop Jennifer’s tears, and he breathed a sigh of relief. Then, he turned his gaze to Guillermo, who was in Rosalie’s embrace.

Guillermo had a failing grade at acting cute. Before Rosalie returned, Jonathan rarely witnessed Guillermo’s attempts at being affectionate.

Jonathan did not see any issues with Guillermo’s behavior, though. After all, he was a boy and the future heir of the Youngblood family, so there was no place for such affection.

However, since Rosalie returned to Strico, Jonathan noticed that Guillermo occasionally exhibited clingy behavior but only toward Rosalie.

Sometimes, he wanted a hug or a kiss, or he would pester Rosalie to tell him stories.

To Jonathan, he felt awkward looking at Guillermo acting affectionately since they looked similar.

At that moment, Guillermo had nestled into Rosalie’s embrace, gently blowing air on her neck and asking, “Will this make it better, Mommy?”

Rosalie was touched by Guillermo’s actions and nodded. “Yes, I feel better now.”

“In the future, I’ll protect you, Mommy. I’ll chase away the bad people and be sure you never get hurt

again,” Guillermo vowed.

Rosalie smiled, planting a kiss on his cheek. That made Guillermo blush slightly, but he did not pull away. He embraced Rosalie, holding her waist with his little hands and resting his cheek against her. This was the scent of his mommy, and he was determined to protect her in the future.

If Jonathan was not injured with one hand connected to an IV drip, he might have lifted Guillermo out of Rosalie’s embrace.

The children initially intended to spend the night in the hospital with their parents. Jennifer even expressed her will to take care of them until they were discharged before returning to kindergarten. Therefore, Rosalie had to explain extensively to dissuade their desire to stay in the hospital overnight. After Gary escorted the two kids back, Rosalie felt like she had been through a tough battle.

However, in the evening, two more children arrived in the ward.

This time, it was Zaid and Karina.

Rosalie was genuinely surprised to see them getting stopped by the bodyguard.

It was especially the case when Rosalie heard Karina say they had sneaked into the hospital while many reporters were waiting outside. She was worried about these two kids.

“Where are your parents? Why didn’t they come to the hospital with you?” Rosalie asked Karina, considering that these children were young and the Burton residence was far from the hospital.

“They went to some event, so I took a taxi here with Zeki,” Karina explained.

Rosalie breathed a sigh of relief, relieved they had not encountered any problems during their journey. “Mr. Youngblood, Ms. Leighton, Zeki saw the news online and was worried about you two, so he wanted to visit,” Karina said. He pushed Zaid, who was behind her, a few steps forward. “Didn’t you say you want to see them?”

Zaid blinked his eyes, and his long, dark eyelashes fluttered like fans. He briefly glanced at Jonathan and Rosalie before turning to Karina, stating, “I’ve seen them.”

Then, he gently shook Karina’s hand, indicating they could leave.

The duration of this visit was so brief that it left everyone speechless.

Karina appeared slightly embarrassed and said, “Why don’t you take another look?”

Upon hearing that, Zaid blinked once more and turned his gaze back to Jonathan and Rosalie as if he were humoring Karina’s request to take a second look.

It might be uncomfortable to see ordinary children being indifferent to their parents, but Rosalie was happy.
