The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 967

Chapter 967

Rosalie had tried to betray and run away from him. She married him and told him she loved him, but said it was for the children’s sake. He might never be the most important person in her heart. Yet, those things were nothing compared to the idea of being parted with her.

Jonathan could bear anything, but he could not imagine a life without Rosalie.

It didn’t even matter in what ways she would leave him.

Rosalie smiled bitterly. She also hoped she could escape this disaster, but she did not have the strength to climb up the rope ladder with the help of his one arm. On the other hand, Jonathan could not pull her up with only one arm.

“There must always be a time to make a choice in life. Just like those days when I chose to jump into the ocean. Wasn’t that a choice?” She thought.

She heard another explosion go off, and his body fell forward slightly because the cracks were slowly reaching to the ground beneath him.

“Mr. Youngblood, your side is about to collapse!” Someone was shouting anxiously at the helicopter door. Rosalie knew she was just a burden at the moment. If it were not for her, he could have gotten on the rope ladder and left quickly.

“Jon, hurry up and get on the rope ladder. It’s okay. I know you love me. Everything that happened… You just had no choice,” she stuttered. At that moment, she did not consider what would happen to her. She only hoped he could be safe.

“That’s enough! Don’t talk anymore. I want you to stop talking!” Jonathan’s expression grew darker as sweat kept forming on his forehead. He desperately wanted to concentrate and figure out a way to get both of them out of danger, but the more he focused his mind, the pain in his mind spread even faster as it grew worse.

It hurt too much for him to think. Various memories seemed to appear in his mind. Memories that he had never seen before.

In those memories, Rosalie sat inside a car, but half of the car was dangling off a cliff. He could only watch from afar but could not get closer to her.

‘What the hell was that? I recognize that cliff. It’s the one Rosie jumped off from.

Is this the memory of when Rosie left me back then? Why was it different from my memories of it? No… Don’t appear again! I don’t want to see these memories again!’ He roared inwardly.

His heart kept shouting, but those memories continued to appear more.

He took out his phone and recorded his last words. If he died, all the assets under his name would go to Rosalie.

He walked to the bomb and wanted to disarm it, but Leonard gave him a question with two choices. Jonathan wanted to use his life in exchange for Rosalie’s, but she used her remaining time and helped him answer the question herself.

Rosalie pulled the handbrake, and the car slowly backed up. Jonathan could only watch as she fell into the sea with the car. Her final words were to ask him to live well and that she loved him.

“Ah!” A painful roar escaped Jonathan’s mouth as his eyes turned scarlet.

The pain in his head worsened as if countless memories flooded his brain. Due to the pain, his hand could no longer grab ahold of Rosalie.

“Rosie… H-Hold on to me. Don’t let go… There’s going to be a way…” Jonathan mumbled in pain, forcing himself to say those words.

Rosalie could only watch as Jonathan became lost in his torturous mind. He even knocked his head against the cracked floor, as if he could stop the pain this way.

However, Rosalie did not hold his hand tighter like Jonathan told her to. Instead, she released her grip. In an instant, her slender wrist slowly slid downward along his fingers.

“Rosie, no!” Jonathan screamed madly, tears already staining his face without him realizing it.

Tears slid down his cheeks and dripped down on her face.

Drip, drip.

That warmth made her feel that everything was okay and that she would not regret sacrificing everything for this man.

Because there would be no one else in this world who would love him as much as her.

She repeated, “Jon, I’m sorry for hurting you, but I’m sure I’m the woman who loves you the most in this world. Live on well. You… You must live on.”

She loved him so deeply that she would make the same choice if given another chance.

When another explosion sounded, Rosalie closed her eyes and smiled. She hoped that the last thing she could leave for Jonathan was her smile. At the same time, she did not want him to see the sadness in her

eyes.

She could feel her wrist almost slipping out of his fingertips. Perhaps in a few more seconds, she would fall, just like when she fell into the sea back then.

However, she would not be so fortunate again.

Within five years, she finally returned to his side. She hoped to stay with him for a little longer and spend more time with him.

She could give everything to this man.

Now, she only hoped Jonathan could live well for the rest of his life. Perhaps she should not have returned, let him restore his memories, or made him fall in love with her. That way, he might not be in so much pain.

Rosalie waited for her body to fall and the sharp pain she was about to sustain.

However, in the next moment, another hand grabbed her wrist tightly, and she heard Jonathan’s voice shouting, “Rosalie, how could you do this? How could you do such a thing again? If you’re gone, how can I live?”

Rosalie suddenly opened her eyes and looked at Jonathan’s arms in disbelief. They were already holding/ his hand. Simultaneously, this meant that he had let go of the rope ladder connecting to the helicopter. If the ground beneath him were to collapse at this moment, they would both fall to their death.

“You… What are you doing? Don’t you know you’re ending yourself ”

“So what? I can’t be bothered by that. Last time, I didn’t grab your hand and can only watch as you plunge into the ocean. It won’t happen this time. I’ll always hold your hand.”

Even if their bodies were crushed in the end, he would not let her go.
