The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 963

Chapter 963

It turned out that whenever Callum touched Lillian, it caused him unbearable pain. So it was what he meant by requesting more time!

However, Lillian never really listened to him.

She rejected him because she was afraid of getting hurt, even though he told her he loved her and wanted

to be with her.

He even went to the hospital and asked if she would regret cutting ties with him. However, she still said she wouldn’t regret it.

“How did he feel at that time?” Lillian wondered.

Thinking of this, Lillian just wanted to slap herself out of frustration!

How could she hurt Callum like that?

Rosalie was also shocked to hear all this, and she looked surprised. She didn’t expect that there would be such a twist between Callum and Lillian about their breakup back then. But now, after five years, Callum finally took down the Tall family and eliminated the curse. He must have thought he could finally be with Lillian, but he did not expect that Lillian still wanted to stay away from him.

Rosalie recalled the day she went to see Callum off at the airport before he left Strico. Callum’s eyes were so cold at that time. He must have been extremely hurt.

Rosalie looked at Lillian, tears streaming down her face. She understood the depth of Lillian’s love for Callum and the pain she would feel right now.

However, fortunately, Lillian decided not to have an abortion and kept the baby she had with Callum. Just as Rosalie was thinking about it, Madeline’s voice suddenly echoed in her ear. “Lillian, I wouldn’t be like this without you. I need to give Callum a memorable gift!”

Madeline instructed her subordinates directly, “Beat her up! Aim her abdomen specifically!”

As Madeline began to speak, she swiftly pulled out her phone and pressed the record button. Clearly, she was poised to capture this very moment on video.

Lillian suddenly felt a chilling sensation as if her blood had turned to ice, instantly understanding Madeline’s intention.

She didn’t care if Madeline hurt her, but she couldn’t allow her baby to be at risk. The baby was hers with Callum!

She was the baby’s mother!

However, Lillian’s hands and legs were tied now, leaving her unable to protect her belly.

As the mercenary’s fist approached her stomach, her mind went blank, and tears streamed down her face.

Then, a “bang” sound pierced the air.

She heard the impact of a powerful punch, yet she felt no pain. Lillian stared blankly at Rosalie, who rushed over and hugged her.

Rosalie blocked the punch for her!

“Rosalie!” Lillian shouted. She couldn’t imagine the pain of the punch landing on Rosalie.

“I… I’m fine,” Rosalie comforted Lillian.

How could she be okay? At this very moment, Lillian was consumed by an overwhelming self-hatred. Had she believed Callum, things would be different today, and Rosalie wouldn’t have been implicated. “Since you are both so close, then I will get them to beat you two together,” Madeline said. If Rosalie hadn’t gone the extra mile to help Lillian, she wouldn’t have been caught adding something to Lillian’s injection at the community hospital, and Lillian definitely wouldn’t have found herself being pursued by the police!

In the end, the punches landed on Rosalie one after another. However, Rosalie shielded Lillian’s belly without hesitation, tightly guarding it from those punches landing on her belly!

She lost count of the punches she took.

Rosalie firmly believed that as long as she persisted, Jonathan would come to save her!

No matter how angry he was, as long as she was in danger, he would definitely come to her rescue!

She thought, “Just hold on for a while… for another minute.”

Despite her efforts to reassure herself inwardly, the physical pain caused her consciousness to falter. She almost fainted several times.

All of a sudden, the punch that was being thrown at her stopped. She heard the sound of wind and another unexpected sound in her ears.

That was the sound of helicopter blades rotating!

Rosalie glanced up and stared at the sky, unable to believe what she saw.

Five helicopters were circling above, completely surrounding the rooftop platform of the entire building. Rosalie stared at the helicopters in a daze. She suddenly had a hunch that these helicopters must be related to Jonathan! She thought, “It must be Jon! Jon is here to save me and Lillian!”

Madeline chose the top floor of an abandoned building as her location. It was because her initial plan was to push Rosalie and Lillian from the rooftop afterward.

However, she didn’t expect that they were surrounded by helicopters now.

The helicopters flew lower and lower, and their wings created strong winds, making it hard for people to keep their eyes open.

Madeline’s face was suddenly filled with a look of panic. This unexpected event in front of them caused a drastic change in the fierce expressions of her subordinates.

One of them stared at Madeline with a gloomy face, “Whom are you kidnapping? Didn’t you mention that she is merely a wealthy man’s wife and also a woman dumped by your ex-boyfriend?”

But what was with these helicopters?

Could an ordinary wealthy man afford to have five helicopters hover like this?

Before Madeline could speak, Rosalie uttered directly, “She wants you to kidnap the wife of Jonathan, the richest person in Strico. Did you check beforchand? Or is she worried that if she tells you the truth, you won’t help her with this task?”

The mercenaries’ faces looked increasingly darkened when they heard this. Madeline yelled furiously, “Rosalie, shut up!”

Rosalie ignored Madeline and said to the mercenaries, “It’s not too late for you to stop now. If you stop now, I won’t hold you accountable for taking Madeline’s money and helping her kidnap us. I’ll let bygones be bygones and might even give you double the money.”

Rosalie understood that the key priority at this moment was to gain the trust of these mercenaries. By convincing them to cease their actions, Madeline won’t be able to do anything further.

The mercenaries glanced at each other, contemplating the possibility of doing so.

“Can you truly guarantee that you won’t hold us responsible and instead provide us with twice the amount of money?” one person, who happened to be the same man who had just beaten Rosalie and Lillian, asked.
