The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 856

Chapter 856

As soon as the policewoman finished speaking, Jonathan had already turned around and walked up to Agyness. He grabbed her collar with a stern look on his face and said, “How dare you…”

“Why not?” Agyness suddenly burst into laughter, as if it was her final act of desperation. “Jonathan, do you think I’m just a parasite of the Youngblood family? Not daring to do anything without your permission?”

Jonathan narrowed his eyes as the iciness in them intensified.

“I hate Rosalie, and it’s a pity I didn’t manage to run her down just now. Killing her would have been wonderful!” Agyness said resentfully.

“You’re not worthy of even hating her!” Jonathan’s hand moved to grab Agyness’ neck.

Agyness’ face suddenly turned red as she began to suffocate. “I… Why can’t I hate her? If she… If she hadn’t shown up, I… I wouldn’t end up like this… On top of hating her… I… I hate you too. Why… Why did you have to give me hope, and then… bring me despair?”

As Jonathan tightened his fingers, Agyness stuttered in an increasingly soft voice.

The policewoman grew anxious by the side and hurried forward to pry away Jonathan’s hand, but his fingers were like steel bars that couldn’t be moved at all. “Jon!” Rosalie said frantically. “Don’t do this. I’m fine. I’m really fine. Don’t commit a crime for such a person. It’s not worth it!”

His body stiffened, and the force in his hand gradually eased.

Rosalie held Jonathan’s wrist tightly and said, “Jon, let go. I don’t want you to do something you shouldn’t over someone like this.”

He turned his head and looked at Rosalie. “But she was going to kill you just now.” “The law will punish her accordingly. She’ll live and atone for crimes in prison!” Rosalie said, “I know you’ll listen to me, right, Jon?”

He stared intently at her with his obsidian-colored eyes. After a long time, he finally released his hand slowly and murmured, “Yes, I will.”

He would indeed listen to her and do as she wished despite his raging urge to kill Agyness with his own hands.

He didn’t care if he were to commit a crime, for he couldn’t tolerate anyone trying to kill Rosalie.

After escaping from the jaws of death, Agyness staggered back a few steps. If the policewoman next to her hadn’t supported her, she would have collapsed on the ground.

Even then, relief was nowhere to be found on her face. All that was written on it

were embarrassment and pain.

She thought, ‘In the end, only Rosalie can get Jonathan to let go.

Jonathan, the man who wields much influence in Strico, is actually willing to

listen to a woman!’

Agyness even felt that Rosalie was the one who was superior, while Jonathan was no more than her humble servant!

“Jonathan actually loves Rosalie that much?”

Agyness suddenly felt extremely pathetic. “Why hadn’t I noticed this before? If I had known that Jonathan was so serious about Rosalie, I wouldn’t have needed to do everything that I’ve done!”

Just when the policewoman was about to leave with Agyness, the latter suddenly shouted, “Jonathan, you did this to me. This is your fault! Why did you help me and Wrenna in the street back then? Why did you adopt Wrenna? If you hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t have become like this!”

“You’re the one who did this to yourself!” Rosalie retorted. “The Youngblood family helped you and your daughter in your most difficult time. They gave you a life that you never had. Originally, you could have lived a luxurious and peaceful life with your daughter, but you ruined it all yourself. Your greed destroyed you, and the Youngblood family doesn’t owe you anything!”

After saying that, Rosalie took Jonathan’s hand and said, “Jon, let’s go.”

“Okay.” He replied. For him, she was all that mattered.

Meanwhile, Agyness continued ranting away, but now, no one responded to her anymore.

“Let’s go!” the policewoman barked.

Agyness knew that she would be in prison for the rest of her life.

Rosalie and Jonathan came out of the side door of the police station. Although there were some reporters over there, Jonathan’s bodyguards had kept them away, allowing him and Rosalie to quickly get into the car.

Inside the car, Rosalie held Jonathan’s hand tightly, the warmth in her palm constantly radiating toward his.

Jonathan looked down and glanced at their hands. “Do you really think I did the right thing?”

“What?” She was stunned for a moment, and then she realized that he was referring to the words she said to Agyness just now.

“Agyness was ruined by her own greed.” Rosalie said, “In fact, sometimes greed is not a bad thing. It also makes people work harder. But no matter what, you shouldn’t do anything to hurt others for its sake!”

Rosalie added regretfully, “It’s just that when it comes to her daughter, it might be a little troublesome. If there are no surprises, Agyness would likely be sentenced

to at least ten years of imprisonment, and Wrenna witnessed her mother taken away by the police with her own eyes. The matter is also related to the Youngblood family and me, so interacting with her going forward might be…”

“The Youngblood family will dissolve the adoptive relationship with her.” Jonathan said nonchalantly, “So you don’t have to worry about how you’re going to get along with her in the future.”

“Dissolve it?” Rosalie was stunned.

Nevertheless, Jonathan remarked matter-of-factly, “How am I supposed to adopt the daughter of a woman who hurt my wife?”

“You have a point, but she was adopted first. On top of that, she’s just a

five-year-old girl.” Rosalie said, “But given the current situation, the fact that there are many witnesses, and the scene being live-streamed, I’m afraid she might suffer from psychological trauma.”

She was afraid that Wrenna would constantly end up as the subject of gossip.

“Perhaps it is necessary to change Wrenna’s environment and have a psychologist counsel her.”

“Then you do whatever you want,” Jonathan said, as didn’t care much about Wrenna. “But I want Agyness to stay in prison for the rest of her life!”

Rosalie was not sympathetic to Agyness’ future in prison. After all, if Jonathan hadn’t caught her in time, she would fallen directly from the fifth floor and ended up either disabled or dead.

However, she pitied Wrenna for losing her mother at such a young age.

“Jon, even if someone tries to hurt me in the future, I don’t want you to soil your hands like just now,” said Rosalie.
